Childcare do not do. Some of the teachers are nice and will help you. But if you do one thing wrong they hold it against you. Its not a good place. Lovely building, horrible atmosphere. Because of this place it made my depression even worse then it was. The teachers gave no help. Try to avoid this place. Also you will lose alot of money over nothing.

So far I'm enjoying the course, well actually I'm hating all the homework as the current pandemic has made it extremely hard and difficult to study and learn new topics independently. But the college is still extremely well resourced compared to other colleges.

Good parking. Difficult to access the building as security on reception were deliberately ignoring. We call a central security mobile number who assured us he would contact security who werw ignoring us on the other side of a sliding door. After taking a call - I wonder who from ? - the door was unlockedThe facility itself was clean and good

York College is one of the nicest collage ever! The Teachers are nice they will help you if you are lost. The restaurant is outstanding at York Collage because the food is so lovely and the waiters are so polite and happy great foods! and the best chocolate brownie ever! and lovely manger!

York College has a great hospitality department. They have a restaurant on site where the students can put their knowledge into practice. Throughout the year (during term time) they organise a series of themed events, and you can go and sample the food. The standard is excellent and the presentation is second to none. I have attended these events for many years and it doesn’t disappoint! This is definitely a hidden gem and if you haven’t been, then I would highly recommend you try it out! There’s free parking so you don’t have to worry about driving into town and paying for parking! The photos will give you a taster...

its alright. staff are nice. a bit unorganized at the start but eventually sorted it out. the buses are expensive as hell though. no library for regular books. all they have are study books which is boringEdit: I probably should have made this edit awhile ago but eh. Staff and lessons more organised. Some doors are locked when they should be open to help flow of people. Buses still expensive. Over all a decent college once everyone is organised

Nice place. Parking is £1 per day. 9 to 5. Free after that. Nice facilities.

Teachers that barely showed up, a predatory absence system, and a completely ineffective support network: these things were the never ending motif of my time in York College.Teachers frequently arrived at classes with zero idea as to what had been taught in previous lessons, either by themselves or other teachers, if they even arrived at all. Media Studies for example was particularly problematic, in which I had a regular schedule alternating between 4 different teachers throughout a standard 2 week period, which lasted months with no communication between the teachers involved. This led to lessons being taught twice, and some subjects being omitted completely.I suffered a debilitating injury in my first year and missed a lot of college for it, and got nothing but mockery or disdain from teachers for not keeping up with the rest of the class. I was suspended without any information, for an entire month in a crucial part of my second year when many deadlines were taking place. After a disciplinary hearing it was then made clear to me that I had not in fact done anything wrong, no apologies given, next to no allowances made when I returned.After all these things had happened to me, teachers still frequently mocked me for having significant gaps in my knowledge of the subject, namely the media teachers but it certainly was not limited to that subject. I was told on various occasions that I should have just not been suspended" or I should not have had "so much time away last year." These things were utterly out of my control.During the course of these incidents

I had my nicest two years of academic education here at York College. I will never forget some of the teachers and the friends I made.The college environment was so nice and welcoming, great study space, social and group work spaces and comfortable seating. I love both big size rooms such as the psychology classrooms and small/ packed spaces in math rooms, they both group up the students’ attention and made studying more interesting. Never forget the lockers too, if how much snacks I used to keep in it.Thank you York college!Thank you the designers or York college and thanks to all the teachers and friends!

Went to the hair and beauty department for a perm and a hair cut.The price was real good and the student who did my hair did an awesome job.Masks and shields worn by students whilst dealing with customers and masks only for the students working else where.I had a great experience, and my hair turned out better than expected.I know that since covid came along the students are really short on live models to practice on, so if your wanting your hair doing at a super price and you have a couple of hours to spare then this is your place to get your hair done. The students are closely monitored by their lovely lecturers and every step is checked before progressing to the next.Car parking was simple, just went to reception and asked for a parking permit.So get yourself a good value hair do.
