Enquired about a holiday which initially cost £2000, a week later it had gone up by £400. I stupidly booked this without shopping around. I looked 3 weeks ago for the same holiday and it has still cost £2000. I enquired about excursions I can book with them, they offered me prices which were higher than the ones on the official website! A worker there spoke to me very rudely over the phone when trying to sort out another booking then apologised over email. This agency can ring you up to 3 times a day when they want you to book a holiday, however I have still not received a phone call or email from the manager since expressing my dissatisfaction. Good service when making the booking, terrible when dealing with complaints. The only thing they offered was an apology. Shop around before using this service!!! Just incase they rip you off

A little bit disappointed with this company. Booked my first cruise and had heard many horror stories about people booking cruises and having huge unexpected bills to pay at the end. I did not want this and stated this to the travel agent. Told him I wanted everything paid for (except any excursions) upfront so we could go and enjoy an all inclusive cruise. Unfortunately our travel agent failed to tell us that the “all inclusive” package that he had sold us, which is worded “ultimate food and beverages inc coffee” package wasn’t actually all inclusive. Didn’t include many coffees and spirits. Didn’t include lots of restaurants and didn’t include some of the shows. The issue I have is that it was stressed at the time of booking that we wanted EVERYTHING included. Not once did he say that there was some things that weren’t included unless we upgraded. When something says “ultimate” it kinda makes you think you can’t get much better. Clearly not!When this was put in an email the response was basically one from someone who really couldn’t care. He has his commission now, why would he care! So hence the reason for this review. People please check what your ALL inclusive packages actually include before you part with your hard earned cash.

Exceptional service when booking my cruise. Especially Liam, who was really professional and responsive... couldn’t thank him enough. He got me a really good deal, can’t wait to book again!

Booked a 3 week holiday to Canada and Alaska with them. My main issue is you must check carefully what you're getting before booking.Initially given a price for a tailor made holiday. When I came to pay, they advised initial flights offered had increased so they'd check other airlines. When they came back, new flights were a similar price to initial offer but with extra stop over. I took this, but then found at 11th hour that business class seats were extra even though I'd been advised they were included in latest price.Also, others going on a similar package with trailfinders had been offered lower prices with breakdown of costs. BT just said total cost - no breakdown and no change despite several letters of complaint.Dont use

I had a sept.2020 P&O cruise booked with Barrhead.P&O sent me confirmation of my booking, thanking me for my payment adding I should pay any further balance by 8thJune.To my surprise Barrhead agent Karen Peddie phoned me on 1st June to say I should pay them on that day or they would need to cancel my cruise with loss of my deposit. I was not to be allowed more time and so KP cancelled my cruise with loss of deposit.All agents knew P&O would shortly be making an important announcement and sure enough the next day the 2nd P&O cancelled all cruises until November. Later Karen Peddie explained the early request for me to pay by saying it would give them time to remit funds to P&O by the 8th. In fact they could easily have allowed me 2or3 days to pay and still have had plenty of time to remit to P&O by the 8th using the super fast bacs banking system. I let it be known I wanted to write to Barrhead CEO holding them responsible for the loss of my deposit. I was told to write to the President Ms j. Dobson which I did on 8th June. To date I have still not had the curtesy of a reply despite me saying any further delay and I would be making this adverse report. They could not care a less. So I am left to bear the loss or take them to the small claims court. I have decided to never book a holiday with them again and would encourage others to follow suit.

We have used Barrhead Travel many times over the last few years and have always found their service and prices to be excellent, so much so that we always now try them first when looking to book a cruise as no-one else comes close to them. Definitely recommend them.

Liz was fantastic, I walked in wanting an affordable city break...and from there Liz took care of the rest, a great hotel in Krakow. Flights, transfers, insurance, Luton Airport car parking the lot. Liz made it so stress free and simple and did loads of research to make sure I got the best deal possible.I will definitely be booking with the company again. Brilliant service

I used to book with liz in birmingham and am so plsd to see she is back in travel and booking our holidays again. She booked our once in a lifetime trip to florida last year and she really does know her stuff. After we booked we even had a planning appointment booked in where over a cup of tea we booked fastpasses, made dinner reservations and planned our itinerary. 5* service.

We recently returned back from a last minute holiday booked through Barrhead Travel. The service we received from Paige was efficient and polite, she managed to get the best price for our Thomas Cook holiday and all paperwork was posted promptly. Also we had special requirements for elderly passengers travelling with us and these requests were handled perfectly. Based on our experience I would book again with Barrhead Travel.

Amazing service from the travel consultant, Paige. Offered first class advice and is always willing to help. I have just got back from my holiday now and thanks to her recommendation, it was the best week of my life. Could not thank her and the rest of Barrhead enough!
