It's free to enter and I came to know about this when I visited Stonehenge, it's like 5 minutes away from Stonehenge. According to history, there existed a woodhenge timber circle older than Stonehenge. Now it seems made of concrete poles.

An interesting site without having the wow factor. I'm sure it would have looked spectacular if it was still in its original condition. However, sadly, the wood has long rotted and concrete posts have been used to mark their placement.

A nice little historical moment to visit when in the area. It’s free and parking is easy. There’s an information pack for you to read and it’s normally pretty quite unlike its more famous counterpart. Only 5 minutes from Stonehenge and less busy

A nice 'quiet'attraction to visit. Take some time to understand the history behind it and you will be amazed. There is a guide at the attraction.

An interesting place to visit, but the mathematical information about the placement of the wooden stakes was complicated! I was glad of the reconstruction picture that was provided!

Do not get your hopes up. Woodhenge is no where as grand as Stonehenge but what it lacks in grandeur it makes up for in history and fun factor. It is a neolithic site dating back to 2500 BC. Just like Stonehenge, there are theories and mysteries regarding the actual length and purpose of the stones and how they got there.Access is not restricted, so one is allowed to interact freely and hop around on the pillars sticking from the ground. Jumping from them to take pictures is also a favored past time at the site. Not bad at all! And there's free access and parking along the road.

Pleasant place to see our history and walk your dogs & it's free. Plenty of parking spots available. Was hoping to walk to the cuckoo stone & then on to Stonehenge but dogs weren't allowed through the sheep paddocks.

Is what it is,If your passing, it's worth a little pit stop. Its free, 30mins and you've taken it all in and had a sit down so worth ticking off the old bucket list. When I went it was a Nice quiet sunny day,Good views, not much Parking (bays)Large picnic area, let the dog have a run around and have a little break.

Imagination is needed to fully appreciate this amazing site of prehistoric importance. Once the mental image of this important structure forms in the mind's eye, your experience will be just as memorable as the very physical and tangible, vast grey slabs of Stonehenge, a short distance away towards the setting sun.
