Homes for Students Powis Place

Have been living here for the past 9 months and I of the conviction that it is worth the money. I stay in a standard en-suite apartment and it's spacious and functional. space as well. The staff (especially Kimberley) are very friendly and kind. The recently opened gym is also very very good with a lot of equipment. The location is also great as it's close to Aberdeen university and 10 minutes away from the center of the city. I do feel however that there could be more events organised for students in the spirit of socialization.

Powis Place is in a good central location with a nice modern building. The rooms are spacious and come with sufficient space for all your belongings. I have had a good time saying here, all the staff are friendly and are happy to resolve any issues the residents may have.Plus the Customer Service Advisor is the best in the Business.

I love my flat here. I have a large en-suite and is absolutely massive for a room in student accommodation. I always get compliments about how nice the building is from friends and family and I have an absolutely stunning view from my flat's kitchen window. As an art student, I need a large desk space so that I can fit materials/sketchbooks/printers/laptops and I definitely have enough space here. I also have plenty of desk storage and it's lit really nicely for when I'm working (or applying my makeup for a night out!)I've never had any issues with the internet here or the facilities like the showers or the heating! I've never had a cold room since coming here and my bed is comfier than the one that I have at home!The location is great also. While I drive to university (Robert Gordon University), it takes around 20 minutes to drive there but if you attend University of Aberdeen, you can definitely walk! Wouldn't take longer than 10 minutes! You're also close enough to the city centre that I have always been able to walk into town for a night out rather than have to get a lift or anything. This also means that if you have to walk into the city centre to get a bus to anywhere in Aberdeen, it's not too far away.We also have the loveliest staff here - Steven and Kimberly. They've always been super friendly whenever I have been in the reception and have always helped out if I needed help with anything. Can't thank them enough.

To be fair, I haven’t been here long, but it’s been great so far. The rooms are spacious enough and got good views. Omg, the staff, that’s the highlight. They are pretty nice and Kathryn is the BEST!!

I lived here as Erasmus student for 4 months and can recommend Powis Place. The staff is amiable, and they help you with any question or problem and answering emails very quick. I also could book the room only for the time of my stay and not like usually for the entire term.The rooms are functional, tidy and clean. You will find enough space for your stuff. The apartment and the kitchen are well equipped. The common area is vast and stylish, perfect to drink a coffee or to study. There is also a beautiful roof terrace with seats where you can relax and enjoy the sun, unfortunately, it is only open until 4 pm. An excellent and friendly place for long-term and short-term students, I highly recommend it :)

Have previously stayed in 2 other student halls, and by far I would rate this as the best in all aspects.Value for money of Powis Place is great, I live in a standard en-suite room which is perfect for me, big wardrobe and more space under bed for storage. Big desks too with great lighting. In particular, I feel like these halls seem to be more soundproofed than others I have stayed in. Showers are great and water is always hot!I feel like Powis Place is always secure, with the key card entry systems in place, good to know not just anyone can walk in!Downstairs common area is great for studying during exams, washing facilities are also good- I never struggle to get a free machine.I think what makes these halls significant, is the staff that work here, Stephen and Kimberly in particular genuinely make an effort to make living here even better. Any issues/questions I have ever had have been dealt with so quickly. They are happy to help with whatever we need and are very approachable. Perfect example of exceptional customer service.Always a friendly vibe here :)

The staff at Powis Place are fantastic. Kimberley and Stephen are so friendly and always on hand to help. They go above and beyond to help sort any issues you’re having or give you advice. The building is new and is super nice inside. It’s modern and fresh with its grey white and black colour scheme. The rooms are cosy, but have a small double bed and are en suite which is a massive bonus. All in all it’s been a nice place to live and the staff really make the place.

I've been living at Powis Place for two years now, in an en-suite apartment and I've really enjoyed my staying. The rooms are well maintained and very cozy. The shared kitchen is a pretty big room that has enough space for every resident of the flat. The common areas are also very nice and it is great that there is a gym on site. The staff are all very friendly and helpful whenever you need them, and a lot of mini events are organised during the year that make the living experience even better! Also the appropriate measures have been taken to protect every resident during the Covid-19 pandemic and it truly feels safe to live here during these uncertain times. I would recommend it to everyone!

Great place with the best student accommodation gym you can find in Aberdeen. The staff (especially Kathryn) are the best and are always there to help you out with anything.

I would like to acknowledge the excellent work of the team 'We are homes for students'. Especially Kathryn, who helped me find a room from my first call and got me a tenancy agreement without any difficulty.I am also very grateful to Natalie from Fraser Studios, because this person arranged the contract for me in the most convenient way, and also helped me to carry all my things to the right room when I was checking in.I really want to mention the intern Grace, who is very responsive and ready to help.International students can often have difficulty with guarantor services, and I was no exception. I am grateful to Kathryn for helping to resolve this issue very quickly and efficiently.Powis Place has very nice people who really care about the students who live here. They literally know who lives where, remember your names and important information.I highly recommend the team 'We are homes for students'. Here, everything possible will be done for you to make you feel comfortable, and they will also pour you a whole cup of coffee.
