Cherington Arms
Popped in for Sunday dinner. I had the trio of meats, and it was excellent, I don't think the photo does it justice. The local IPA was delicious. I looked at the apple crumble and I thought that doesn't look like an apple crumble, but it was lovely. Empty plates all round. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The building is very old, so a few wonky floors and walls which add to the place. If you are looking for a good Sunday dinner, I would definitely recommend this place.

We popped in midway through a dog walk as it was hotter than expected.It’s a nice little pub with a huge beer garden and a great dining room. But it’s the great service we got that really elevated the Cherington Arms.We got a very friendly welcome on a Saturday afternoon, as our dog was also welcomed with open arms with water, a snack and a cuddle.We opted for a simple Club sandwich & a Cheese/Tomato sandwich and they exceeded our exceptions. Ciabattas, little delicious salad and both extremely tasty.If you are in the neighbourhood I highly recommend popping in. You won’t regret it

So lovely to see this place open again! Staff were so welcoming and polite, fantastic service! Enjoyed a Sunday roast and delicious desserts plus a hot coffee. Can't wait to come back and try some Portuguese specials!

Fantastic pub, child friendly, staff are friendly, attentative, and very welcoming hosts. Food options are great, and portions are better than expected. Everything was cooked properly and had flavour.

Visited this pub for lunch prior to a whisky tour at a local distillery.Instantly received with a warm welcome, plenty of seating with a great menu with plenty of choice. One of our party was GF which didn't cause an issue at all and the chef provided us with whole separate GF menu.The food was obviously handmade and probably the best burger I have ever eaten. Service was amazing, presentation was great, there was nothing you could fault with this lunch. Portion sizes were so generous we couldn't even consider a dessert.A great pub in a great location run by a great couple. Definitely one to visit and although over an hour away we will visit again.

Ignore the dandelions in the window boxes, the Portuguese landlord is welcoming and his wife a super cook. Fairly austere inside but all is clean and tidy. Excellent food and good value. Monster burger is just that; patty is over an inch thick and cooked to perfection (and topped with chicken breast, bacon, cheese, 4 onion rings etc). Dads pork belly spot on - he needed a doggy bag to take half of it home. Peri chicken and lasagne all good.The apple crumble exemplary (not just some ‘Brakes Bros’ stuff out of the freezer). The Old Hooky was well kept, but the IPA tasted like it was nearing the end of the barrel - still drinkable though. Perhaps more folks need to visit to keep the ale flowing faster. Couldn’t knock it, a hard working couple (there were no other staff seemingly) working very hard to provide a hearty welcome and fully bellies at a good price. Thank you.

What a brilliant relaunch night last night.Elin and Gilbert (the management team) made me feel welcome. The beer was spot on . The pub was spotless. The locals made me welcome and I will be back for more good times. Elin said that food was coming soon and if the food quality matches the beer quality then I might just have found a new happy place and some new friends to share it with.
