My son and I have dined here a few times recently. Nice friendly staff. Food beautifully presented and hot. Our waiter was very helpful. He was the busiest waiter on duty. Always on the floor and bringing food from the kitchen. Other serving staff stood around at the bar chatting backs to the customers. A lot of face scratching ear tugging and nise rubbing put me off my meal. I don't want served by dirty hands. I mentioned this when paying the bill, which was duly noted by the bar person. Simple hygiene please.

I am going to copy another guys comment from below. Food was awful, kids pizza was a 50p one from Iceland microwaved and a bit of cheese on top. Waited an hour on food and 2 older staff were rude and had the worst customer service I've ever received... on a positive my 2 kids left a serious mess but sadly it was the younger more polite staff who likely were made clean it up... other guys post here...We used to love this place, but since lockdown the Staff have changed and the service and attitude of the new staff is absolutely appalling. Complete lack of politeness, friendliness and just simple manners. Eugene and Carol really need to review staff if The Grouse is to regain its past reputation as an excellent bar with great food and great

OK, it was a great experience. 4 siblings out for lunch.Food was very good staff very friendly.Once main course was over service was a tad slow but remained very friendly.All fresh products I have to say.Yes, we did leave a tip.

This was our first time here, and I fell like I’ve been missing ou all these years.Fantasitc food, and really great service.I had the chicken stack which was lovely, my partner had the burger, and said it was one of the best he’s ever had - that’s high praise indeed!We’ll defo be back.

Popped in for lunch, very friendly staff, seemed to enjoy their job. Had one of the days special and it was cooked beautifully. My wife had the chilli pasta and it was very tasty. Would recommend!

My husband and I went for a late lunch on Saturday. We ordered the ‘House Burger’ and the ‘Vegan Burger’. Unfortunately both were dry, overcooked and tasteless. The vegan burger was especially disappointing. It was so dry it was hard to chew and only came with rocket and onion. No pickles, tomato or cheese to add flavour. The only dip was a small dish of relish and the gluten free bun (which was unnecessary as I am not coeliac) was again dry and inedible. Very disappointing and unfortunately I would not recommend.

10 of us had lunch recently and very much enjoyed it .The food was all delicious, great portions and piping hotService was excellent , the young girl with the dark hair was superb, so very pleasant and helpful.Thank you.
