Rubbish school gives detentions for no reason, dosent notify about detentions

Best school ever teacher go above and beyond to help kids

A shambles of a school my child was not even told he had a detention on the Friday so left as normal they then kept him until 5pm the Monday, we enquired this decision and was met with with attitude teacher was not willing to listen. My son was also not the only child who was not informed about a detention on the Friday I would really think twice before sending your child to this school.

Absolute shambles of a school my daughter is getting bullied and All there bothered about is her attendanceThis morning she didn't turn up at school and was wondering around pickering park on her own in the snow and not 1 person contacted us ....fuming

I would give 0 if I could!!! Exactly the same comment as per previous people leaving reviews on here!The worst experience ever since the Head of the School changed the ethos of the school changed dramatically from 10 to 0!!!No one get back to you on messages, kids get detention for being late 2 minutes!!!! When finally one of the staff Mrs or Miss T calls you back after days of messaging she won’t let you finish a single sentence, when asked can you let me finish what I wish to say she said NO to me and put the phone down!!!Disgusting and disgraceful behaviour from the whole school. Asked few times for a meeting with Head of School and I have been left completely ignored!!!Shocking! Will be thinking of moving my son to different school if is going to carry on like this! My son was also given detention for some other kid swearing at the teacher, teacher wouldn’t listen when my son’s explanation at all when he said it wasn’t him!!!The worst school I come across ever!Jo

Not worthy of 1. kids are ferral bullies tried to humilate and degrade my daughter by editing videos of her due to their obvious sick fantasies and posting it all over social media. Kids taunt, name call and go A 1000 steps too far with it at this dispicable school amd staff become quite defensive when told. The staff feel they are in control by handing out an almost jail sentence (derentions) for a uniform incorrection and other trivial matters that dont resolve anything. The Police and crisis team have had to be informed due to my daughters mental state these kids/staff can easily drive a child to harm themselves or worse! DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!

Terrible, teachers think it's okay to scream at a whole class for one person's attitude + you get a detention for being like only 2 minutes late, before the register. Detention times are also ridiculous, its the only school round here that does 6pm detentions. Would give it 0 stars if possible.

Worse school going the teachers think it's OK to scream at my son to the point he rings me crying and then I go in and a male teacher think it's OK to try and get in my face and make me look small don't think so please avoid in sending your children to sirius academy West

Absolutely terrible. No communication between reception and teachers. Have really strict uniform rules but do nothing about bullying. Do not listen to anything parents say. Would definitely not recommend this school.

Children need discipline to shape them into sensible and productive adults. The school has a comparatively higher level of discipline and order than a couple of other schools. Kids are well behaved but also not afraid to express themselves.
