New Dragon Inn

The only good I can say about my recent experience of this takeaway is the service which is always efficient.We have used this takeaway on many occasions in the past and always been happy with the quality, however on the last two occasions it has been terrible!! If that was served to me in a restaurant I would have sent it straight back, but ofcourse with recent lockdown that is not responsible. Makes me wonder if that is what they are relying on? We usually have the same thing, crispy duck, plum sauce and yung chow fried rice and chips. The chips and rice looked and tasted as though they had been re heated several times, and the crispy duck too, as it was hard as rock and the meat inside dried up and flavourless. This was supposed to be a birthday treat!!! Very disappointed and needless to say will not be going back, total waste of money!

Tried this out as we're looking for a good take-away not far from Calow. We were not disappointed. Quick service, delicious hot food and generous portions. For us a good test is the Singapore style rice noodles. The New Dragon served up a brilliant dish, nicely spiced and well done (many just chuck curry powder at some noodles with a few extra bits thrown in - not nice). Definitely value for money. Recommend them!

New to this take away after ours closed down. Ordered 3 times now and the food is excellent and prices good. Our new Chinese to go to now.

I had sweet and sour king prawn with mushroom fried. Generous size rice, plenty of egg in it. Prawns in a nice crispy batter but not to thick, nice mix of veg as well. Got a free half bag of prawn crackers which were nice, not thick and chewy. I thought how clean the overall appearance of the shop was inside, even the fish tank was spotless. This was my first visit but not my last, I will be back.

Ordered to collect. The food was ready in time and brilliant. We had a salt and pepper share box and was more than enough for 3 of us for a treat supper.
