Adventure Plus

Adventure plus has always been one of the highlights of my summers. The staff are friendly and chatty. The camp is well organised and the activities are diverse and fun. It's always a great week to come and experience and be a part of.

Would love to give a 5 start rating however my 8 year old nephew returned from 5 days with them yesterday and has not had a happy time. The positive side is that the daytime activities he loved, the negatives however far outweigh the positive. His first night there whilst changing into his pyjamas he was bullied and pulled about so badly that his pyjamas were ripped. He was then too scared to change again so spent the entire 5 days and nights in the same clothes..when his mum picked him up she could see and smell how dirty he was and yet no member of staff questioned why he was in the same clothes for 5 days or what the issue around changing was. I’m sure lots of children go and have a thoroughly enjoyable experience however I post this review as the thought of any other children spending 5 days scared fills me with dread. My nephews Mum has contacted adventure plus and didn’t get a real response as to why this was allowed to happen hence my honest review.

Absolutely beautiful place to spend some time as an NHS team where we were able to work and relax on a day blessed with sunshine weather. Thoughtful staff team focused on providing us with the best possible experience. Memorable indeed!

Fantastic centre, a must visit!

I have always loved going on these camps and I now volunteer for them as a leader! There's an exciting 'Adventure Base' project on the way too - now's the time to get involved !

The most incredible people! The environment is positive, educational, developmental. I can't imagine leaving there unchanged /unchallenged. Adventure Plus is a gift to the nation!

The exciting adventure base project is taking shape with the installation of the timer Yurt and Log Cabin villages for guests to stay and enjoy the countryside, the activities and reach other's company.An enthusiastic team of qualified instructors can provide canoeing, kayaking, archery, climbing, mountain biking, Bushcraft and other activities.There is also a cottage on site where guests can stay while they do their own thing in this lovely rural seeing.
