Royal Victoria Park in Bath is a true delight for visitors of all ages. This expansive park, named after Queen Victoria, is a testament to its royal heritage and provides an exceptional recreational and leisure experience. The park's vast green spaces are beautifully landscaped, offering a perfect setting for picnics, leisurely walks, or just basking in the sun. The carefully manicured lawns and flowerbeds provide a feast for the eyes, especially during the blooming seasons when the park bursts with a kaleidoscope of colors. One of the standout features of Royal Victoria Park is its botanical garden, which houses an impressive collection of plants and trees from around the world. Strolling through these gardens is like embarking on a horticultural journey, immersing visitors in the wonders of nature. For families, the park is a paradise. The well-maintained playgrounds, complete with swings, slides, and climbing frames, ensure that children have a memorable and joyful experience. Additionally, the wide-open spaces allow plenty of room for ball games and other outdoor activities. The Great Dell, a sunken garden within the park, provides a peaceful retreat with its shady trees and tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to read a book or simply unwind.Royal Victoria Park is not just about greenery; it also offers an impressive range of facilities. The park boasts tennis courts, a bowling green, and a mini-golf course, providing ample opportunities for visitors to engage in sports and recreational activities. Moreover, the park's location is perfect for exploring the nearby attractions of Bath, such as the Royal Crescent and the Roman Baths, making it an integral part of any visit to this historic city.In conclusion, Royal Victoria Park is a true gem, offering a harmonious blend of natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and a glimpse into Bath's rich history. Victoria park is a lovely place to take your kids for the day. The park is massive, and has several different areas for children of all ages. There's a café at the top of the park - which offers refreshments, cakes and special lunch deals for the kids. What's more - just above the park there's a large pond where ducks and other birds congregate. If you go further North of the park there are the Botanical gardens, which offer a peaceful walk to anyone looking for a relaxed vibe. If you have the kids - head there with some nuts as the squirrels are super friendly and openly approach you. A great place for a family day out!4 stars reason:The only qualms I have with the park is park maintenance - the park seems to have gone unchanged for a decade and as such parts of the park look run down. However, the structural integrity has remained strong as far as I've seen.

We went to the Botanical Gardens, which are the best bit. Amazing trees and some beautiful borders. It deserves more investment from the Council or other public body or trust. We didn’t visit the rest of the park, which is very good. A unique open space in the heart of Bath.

This park is well worth a visit. With a massive playground for the kids, which has a public toilet, although you have to spend 20p to use and an onsite cafe, and acres of park to explore, for both humans and dogs. There is a botanical garden, to have a stroll around, which is well maintained, and a large duck pond. I haven't been here for a very long time, but never disappoints. It is a lovely park to also have a picnic.

Lovely park with many beautiful statues and buildings and of course some nature. If you walk to top you get a nice view of the city.

Beautiful cared for park, loved by all who live in Bath & beyond. Many attractions, with small Garden Centre, Botanical gardens, large children's playground, excellent cafe, ice rink, social venue. Plenty of Benches situated around & within the Park. Dog friendly areas. Beautiful mature specimen trees at intervals. A truly historic part of the City of Bath anda jewel on the outskirts of the centre of Bath.
