Amazing place! It's not an exaggeration to say that this place has literally 'changed my life' for the better, my grades have shot up, my mental and physical health have never been better in my life!Before I came here I was near suicidal because of my past failures, my inability to perform at the grades I wanted, it was just a horrible, horrible time at Bassaleg School.Thank you Jane for accepting me, you've really changed my life :)

Dont know if this is the right platform for this. I'm an oldie and get the 151 bus from Risca to Newport regularly. Its usually pretty full of X Keys students but on almost every occasion a student at the front stands and offers me a seat. I don't have to ask. Thankyou students, be proud of yourselves.

I was a student here for a couple years, starting in 2012. Really enjoyed my time here. The facilities and classrooms are all excellent and the staff care and take the time to listen. It’s a large campus and has lots of amenities surrounding it such as cafes, shops and a park just behind the college.The buses run frequently from the front of the campus to most areas, with the busiest being Blackwood.Excellent campus and highly recommended for studying.

Food was delicious and very well presented. Front of house staff very polite and service was good. Went out of their way with gluten free adaptations.

Makes you stay in a lesson for several hours with no teacher cause they can't afford one but can spend money on security that nag you about lanyards. The college focuses on their numbers and results rather than wellbeing of students. Predatory psychopath teachers can thrive here by inflicting trauma on students because they had a bad day. But the courses are free so I'll give an extra star because you have to be grateful sometimes!

Would be 5 stars, however some members of staff are relatively disrespectful to students AND very unorganized, other than that there's some really good facilities and lecturers with great support for all.

I went to the catering depts restaurant where the students practice silver service and I spent a pleasant hour with a friend eating some nice food.Very reasonably priced and a real learning environment for the students.
