They drilled through an electrical wire in the wall when installing a radiator. Instead of informing me about this mistake, they decided to cover it up by wrapping insulation tape around the wire and placing the radiator over the ill repaired wire. This was apposed to addressing the situation correctly by using a junction box. They showed no duty of care to me the customer and by doing so put my family at risk.There response was i can not prove it was them so they will not admit liability. There was however only one company that hung the radiators on the wall so how they can say it was not them is beyond me. I am now having to spend time speaking to trading standards, Hitachi Finance, the EIC and my company solicitor.They did say they will add a junction box as a gesture, however i want them nowhere near my property again.When they originally installed the new system they left me without heating or hot water, during a time when my partner was pregnant. I have had nothing but bad experiences whilst dealing with Help Link.I do not want to take legal action against them however they are leaving me with no alternative.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, you will also notice a response to some of the issues on here from a person called Naomi, she is the company representative that informed me that she would not be sending me a response letter to my complaint as she has now closed the complaint down and for them to respond there has to be an open complaint.I have asked who the board of directors are as i am assuming there will be somebody that cares about their customers at that level. I am awaiting a response.

Had our 3 year old Worcester Boiler serviced yesterday (the boiler was working perfectly beforehand). When we came home from work the boiler was leaking water. There was so much water it had leaked onto our shelves below everything on the shelves were either ruined or covered in water. We also have our fuse box beneath the boiler, this could have been a disaster. We spoke to Help Link & they said they couldn’t send someone out. We begged them, we didn’t feel safe leaving it overnight leaking. We also didn't want our kitchen and wooden worktops to get ruined. Completely shocked that the boiler was in perfectly working order and then suddenly it was leaking after their service. After a very stressful and upsetting call with Help Link and also being told the leak must be a fault with the boiler and a separate issue, I finally asked to speak to a manager as we were getting nowhere. I spoke to Jamie Barlow and had to beg him to send someone round. We agreed on a time of 8am the following morning (apparently this was the only next available time). I asked Jamie to also log a complaint. I then got passed to someone else who could book the 8am appointment. The man on the phone said he could now get someone out tonight & then another engineer at 8am the following morning. Great news! We waited and waited and no engineer turned up. We then got a call to say he was running late and the latest time he would arrive is by 2am! The Engineer later rang us to say all he was going to do was turn the water off, he wouldn’t be fixing the boiler. What was the point of his visit then?! He also confirmed an engineer would be attending tomorrow morning. My husband had to contact work and cancel meetings so he could be at the house when the engineer arrived at 8am. The engineer NEVER TURNED UP at 8am as promised by JAMIE BARLOW. My husband rang Help Link again and they said someone will be there before 1pm. He also had to explain the full issue again. This is causing difficulties at my husbands work and damage to our property from the leaking water.I am utterly shocked at the poor service and we still don’t have a fixed boiler. Please can someone help me.

They reported a leak to my boiler - this was not found by an independent or another of their engineers, yet Help-Link refused to accept responsibility and refund costs incurred. Following reporting to Gas Safe where they admitted responsibility on site they returned to their offices and again denied any responsibility. I then emailed all their directors and did get a acceptance the error was theirs and refunded of the independent engineer costs. there was absolutely no reason for the delays or very poor service I received from them. Sadly after seven years their actions have resulted in a total breakdown of trust and I wont be employing them again.

Over 2 years later, I am still waiting for remedial work to be completed, after the installation of a full central heating system by Help-link. The installation was then certified defective and unsafe by Gas safe. I then made a full complaint with Help-link and the finance provider . To date, I have yet to be satisfied and have the complaint concluded due to incomplete remedial work at my property. I have called them on numerous occasions to ask what is happening, however, they continuously say they will get someone to call me back, though it never comes. I still have my old emersion heater hanging from the ceiling (live), a damaged gas meter box (damaged by Help-link), screaming radiators with faulty valves. All of which I have waited 2 years to be sorted. My advise is to find a local company that gives a good aftercare service. The question is... Will I ever have the work completed!

Our installation of a replacement boiler in a new position and upgrade of 21 radiators was more complex than just a boiler replacement. The quote we got was by no means the cheapest but we chose it because Scott, the surveyor, was the only one of six we talked to who could understand let alone answer all my technical questions. It was a great relief to find someone who could give sensible and informed answers. I also spoke to Jess our 'excellence advisor' over vaguenesses in the contract. Without her written reassurances I would not have gone ahead.It would have been naive not to expect problems. However, Jess was supremely supportive. I read reviews of other companies and came across many mentions of difficulty in getting help, or getting answers to questions. If Jess did not answer the phone immediately she would always call back quickly with a positive response. I felt as though she was on my side. I have never come across service like this before and it seems very rare in this particular industry.In the event the installation involved more work than expected but this was carried out without any suggestion of extra charges - honouring the 'Fixed Price Quote Promise' without demur.We are very satisfied with our installation, we got value for money and met some good people. Been planning to get my boiler replaced, Help Link were really professional and thorough in the inspection, the price was more than other providers however I was swayed to use them. The follow up communications were when things changed, unfortunately was told that I needed to request a scaffolding permit 3 days before they were meant to arrive to do the works, which I think is not really professional. There was lack of support from support agent throughout the process. This type of information should have been clearly stated on the initial inspection as unfortunately due to the price of attaining the license I could have chosen a different provider rather than waiting to be notified and having now to go back and find new providers.Would advise anyone looking for this type of service to ensure to take into account extra cost before using this provider

Absolute a no no if I could turn back the clock.Leaks in the fitted radiator thermostats, also plastic pipe under sink. After care response next to zero. When I asked for damage compensation to laminated floor and skirting boards they told me to claim on my house insurance.Bleeding cowboys, do not use Help link. No help at all.

Just had a new boiler and Nest thermostat fitted by Help Link. Best decision Ive ever made. Sales guy was totally non pushy and i got a good deal. On the day a fitter called John did the hard part of fitting everything. He did an amazing job and really went that extra mile. Couldnt recommend these guys enough!!

Help Link where very Professional from the first enquiry to the finished new central heating system we bought and had fitted by them.The Sales advisor Steve who visited our home was not pushy but polite and carefully looked at our old system and advised us on a good new boiler, radiators and accessories. We booked a date for install and had email and phone call alerts to remind us and the installer Nick turned up bang on time with a phone call to alert us he would be arriving...Great service.The installation went well, which would always be difficult in a house crammed with furniture and stuff. Nick and his associates kept the disruption down to a minimum and on the last day gave a very thorough explanation of how the system worked.We have since had follow up phone calls and contact details for any problems that might occur or questions we might like to ask.It is so nice to receive such great service from a company, it gives you every confidence in the product and i wish every company i deal with in the future would be as professional ... but i very much doubt it.

One of the worst companies I ever dealt with, they ruined my house, it is my mistake when I disregard all the negative reviews left on this company, they flooded my house twice because their engineer was rushing to finish, instead of finish the job in 2 days engineer rush it in less than a day, Help-link insist to have their payment before they put everything right, had 3 engineer visited my house to stop radiator leak and guess what, it is still leaking! If you want peace of mind don't make my mistake and don't go with this company
