Greenleaf Animal Rescue

We had a fantastic experience with Greenleaf. We rescued a dog and were provided with lots of email correspondence, information and support. All dealt with very quickly considering the rescue is run by a tiny team of volunteers! We're now very happy with our pooch and grateful to Greenleaf for the support in bringing her home to us!

I would just like to say a MASSIVE thanks to Jane AND anyone else at Greenleaf for helping me rehome my dog Stella due to our personal circumstances changing. It was an absolute nightmare decision to make and I was unsure of what to do / who to speak to etc'. After much correspondance with Jane from Greenleaf, the process was explained to me and I felt slightly more at ease.In the end a new owner was found and our details were passed on accordingly. We spoke about the situation many times so we both had each other's stories and circumstances. A meeting was arranged and the handover went like a dream (although there were many tears on my side). Myself and Anne, the new owner have been in touch discussing the first night for Stella in her new home and it seems she is loving it (same as the new owner ! ) I would highly recommend Greenleaf to anyone to assist with rehoming. Greenleaf Animal Rescue offered an excellent service when we decided to rehome our dog, Milo. The completing of the initial documentation through to the next stages of the process was very straightforward and the communication was excellent throughout. I was very sad to have to re home my puppy. Greenleaf were exceptional in their efficiency and sensitivity in helping me to find a suitable home. Within two weeks I had met the new owners and was confident enough to arrange a date to hand my puppy over. This was done with the minimum of fuss and the promise of some photos of him in his new environment. I would happily recommend Greenleaf to anyonewho needs their help.

Great rescue and where very kind and helpful. They found my dog a very loving home despite the fact she had a few behavioural issues. Greenleaf have sent me pics and updates on how she's doing and I'm more than happy that she has now found the forever home she more than deserves. I would definitely recommend this rescue to anyone needing to re-home their pets.

My partner and I rehomed a dog through Green Leaf.Unbeknown to us at the time Green Leaf do not do an independent assessment.The previous owners told us the dog had separation anxiety, and they were rehoming him due to a change in personal circumstances. We later found out that this wasn't true and the dog had complex behavioural issues which included jumping up and biting.I reached out to Green Leaf and asked for help and advice, I did not have a response for 10 days.When I chased them up the only solution, they could offer was to rehome the dog again. They did not offer any advice or training support.I wanted to leave this review to offer some help and advice...Arrange to walk the dog a few times to get to know them before you commit to rehoming themIf you have never owned a dog take someone with you to meet the dog who has a lot of knowledge and would be able to advise you if you can offer a suitable home for the dog

I adopted my dog through Greenleaf in July 2020 and have been happy with the whole process. Communication with Jane was excellent and despite the dog not actually going through the rescue centre (we picked him up from previous owner) the centre were helpful throughout. We had to reserve the dog with a £200 donation without having met him but I was advised this would be refundable should the dog not have been appropriate. Luckily he is an absolute gem and i am so glad and grateful he has come into our lives!

I can't thank Jane and the team enough,they have been brilliant helping me rehome my little man it was the hardest thing I've ever done but Jane kept me Informed from start to his adoption, they found him a lovely family and he is settling in well which I couldn't ask anymore of them.i found little help from mainstream charities but Greenleaf have been second to none.So happy for my little man and a massive thanks to Greenleaf and it's team once again.

We were relieved at how easy it was to follow clear instructions when applying for adoption. Communication was great, when we did have a query, it was answered in good time. The appointment of meeting the dog and owner was arranged quicker than we thought. We were pleased as we were eager to see the candidate, and we weren’t disappointed. We followed government guidelines and all parties were comfortable to proceed.Our experience with Greenleaf couldn’t be faulted, and we were pleased with the outcome.
