Nice CL in a lovely location beside a pond in central Lancashire. Pitches are flat and spacious with very reliable EHU. The pond is fantastic to walk around but needs TLC as very weedy and no life belt. There are only very small roach and not really correct to call it a fishery. All said it is a marvellous campsite

This is a CL / Caravan & Motor Home Club site that has 5 hard standing pitches for caravans and motor homes each with EHU. It is set in a circular arrangement with a central tree area. On arrival we phoned the owner to say we were here and we were told which itch was ours, we were shortly met by owner, a lovely lady who was most helpful. The facilities are pretty basic consisting of a small shed which is very clean which contains the toilet and outside the fresh water and elsan point. Set behind the trees is a large fishing lake set in a lovely area of the site.It is a very peaceful and tranquil site offering a very relaxed an quiet break. There is a 4 mile country walk to be had which takes you in a loop back to the site. Unfortunately the nearest pub New Hall Tavern has permanently closed at the time of review, so the nearest pub is the Oak which is a pleasant 25min walk.Overall a terrific site if you want to just relax and recharge your batteries, will definitely return.

Lovely little site (Dog friendly)with only 5 hard standing and very level pitches. The toilet shed was very clean.Reliable electric hook up.Good TV signal.Dropped rating to a 4 as the fishing lake is very over grown and very weed over run. . . Unusable as a fisheries.Shame as it could have been a perfect A+++ site rating. The local pub down the road (New Hall Tavern) reopened the weekend we were here.perfect for a walk and a quick drink or two whilst out and about

After being stuck on the m6 for 3 hours due to an accident then being diverted through a gridlocked Preston we were unable to get to our campsite in Chester. The lovely lady who runs this campsite allowed us to park here for the night. We are so grateful after our horrendous journey from York that started at 10.30am. It is now 8pm and we’ve just hooked up. Exhausted but thankful for this beautiful port in a storm.
