We worked with Jo from early March 2022 to late August 2023 to train our whippet puppy Archi. As first time dog owners, we knew that we were in safe hands from the moment we met her, at the initial home visit. Both Archi and us alike have enjoyed her training classes week in week out come rain or shine! Jo’s puppy training classes have been invaluable to us and they were so, so much better than any we’ve taken in the past with our previous 2 older dogs. She’s a lovely lady who won’t talk down to you if your pup doesn’t quite ‘get it’ and neither does she teach as if she’s done all this a million times before. Jo gave us advice on starting training in our home with our new pup before we even attended our first class and we still continue with her methods now. She’s extremely knowledgeable and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

We have been taking our show cocker to Jo for about a year and have a happy well trained dog who is a joy to take out. I can’t recommend Jo highly enough, her approach with both dog and owner is excellent, she has a real understanding of what works and takes time to explain not just the what and how, but also the why. When we arrive for our session our dog is happy and excited recognising the fun to be had, she loves both training and the socialising.Does it work? Recently on a walk I passed through a gate, shut it to see my dog taking an Interest in 3 wild ponies. I applied what we have learnt from Jo and had an obedient dog at my feet and 3 happy ponies. I can't recommend Jo enough! In just a few weeks she has taken us from zero understanding of dog training (our first dog) to a cheerful, attentive, loving puppy who loves to make eye contact with us all the time and loves to please! Jo is such an expert and has filled us with confidence to go off-lead and really enjoy dog walks. So happy with her service and very much enjoying the weekly training.

I first came across Jo when looking for a safe place to socialise my 2 assistance dogs in training to working around other dogs - needless to say we have never looked back. Jo is highly knowledgeable, an expert at reading canine body language and really takes the time to invest in dog and handler as a partnership. Both me and the dogs thoroughly enjoy and look forward to her classes each week, knowing how much fun each week is. Jo also takes the time to explain everything she teaches in depth and the reasons behind teaching these behaviours. Classes are a lovely, welcoming atmosphere, a real judgement free zone! Both my pups love their time with Auntie Jo, she would be our first recommendation for anyone looking for a compassionate and considerate trainer to guide through the process of training their dog.

I'm so happy to have found Jo. From before our pup arrived, she briefed me at home as to how I should prepare. Following on, she has been fantastic on one-to-one training which has helped so much in us all happily settling in with each other. Her advice has proved invaluable and we now attend her puppy classes to enhance our pup's socialising skills. Her support is much appreciated and will continue to be.

I highly recommend Jo who has provided invaluable training and behaviour support for my Tibetan Terrier since she was 10 weeks old. As a first time dog owner I felt completely out of my depth with this naughty wilful little puppy. Jo did home visits and I have attended Jo’s weekly training sessions for months to work on recall and obedience .
