Cuckoo Fen Campsite
A perfect campsite. Situated at the end of what can only be described as the world's largest cul-de-sac (!), the location is perfect. Most cars passing were from the campsite, so it was exceptionally quiet. The compost toilets and showers are built to a very high standard and are very clean and looked after. Each pitch has use of a wood burner. Small shop selling logs, drinks etc with an honesty box or simple pay online. Tim, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return as it's one the nicest campsites we've ever stayed on.

What a lovely spot!A friendly and super-helpful campsite owner just made it! Simple, relaxed and peaceful site. Composting toilets are clean and well cared for. Excellent showers and a good supply of hot water. Woodfired pizza oven on a Friday evening, little honesty box shop for essentials. Highly recommended if your idea of camping is to switch off and chill out.

It is a great campsite with lots of good walks on the nearby wetlands and the perfect amount of amenities. The toilets and showers are well kept, and the entire campsite is well designed. The town is a 30-minute walk away or a short drive. There are great pubs nearby, and the campsite owner Tim offers canoe hire for some nice beginner friendly paddling on the river, which is a six minute drive away. A barrista sometimes comes on Saturday and Sunday for fresh coffee and pastries. We have been back twice and are still exploring the area. Definitely recommended!
