Unfortunately we didn't have a great night here.From the time we sat down all seemed very rushed, as if they wanted our table for diners coming in later. I doubt it as it was quiet on our Friday night visit, I guess down to the England v USA game.Despite a lobby with a heater, our seats near the door caught a cold draught from being left open. We did ask if they could just push it to but it was soon open again.Even with fewer people than usual it was quite noisy, made worse by competition from their rather unpleasant music.We shared an onion bhaji starter which was very enjoyable, and well presented. All was set fair for the mains but surprisingly these were a disappointment.They also arrived a bit too soon despite us asking for a short break.The wife's dish was far too oily and thin in taste as a result.My pathia was OK, excellent chicken tikka but not quite hot enough for my taste. The sides were fine but nothing more than your usual.We didn't bother with desserts.It relatively expensive place, some of the special dishes costing as much as those in more finer" establishments.I know they can do better but sadly it didn't happen for us on the night."

Can’t comment on service or atmosphere as we had a takeaway. Hands down the worst Indian takeaway ever. I’ve never tasted such sweet food. It was more like Chinese than Indian. Really poor. Never again

Such an unassuming and unexpected location. But inside the decor is stunning and modern and absolutely spotless. Great and friendly service. The variety and quality of food was fantastic. It was suggested by the waiter to try their speciality as I didn't know what to choose. My wife did the same but a chicken version as mine was a hotter lamb. My goodness! Portions were significant and probably the best curry I have ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant, the service and the amazing food. Don't hesitate!Kris

Really, really enjoyed thw food here! I had a prawn puri for starters and a pistachio king prawn curry for my main, which they made especially hot for me when I asked. Quite a sweet curry which is nice, and then the heat from the chilli cuts through so well! I would have given 5 stars because the staff are so friendly and welcoming... but there were a few mess ups with the orders and had to re-ask for certain meals... but I could forgive all of that. The main reason I'm knocking a star off is due to the wet towels they give out at the end... unsure of why, but after using them, all of our hands smelt really bad - like damp/ mould. Wasn't great... but like I say, the food and the service were really good and I would absolutely go back!

Visited here whilst staying in an hotel close by, the food was absolutely delicious both me and hubby were very satisfied the service was exceptional but it was early on a Monday evening so can’t really comment what Friday or Saturday maybe like. Will definitely visit again if in the area

Was a delivery order so don’t no the place itself but heard only positive, what I heard was true. Best for me was the king prawn madras ,, the king prawns were amazing of course the sauce ouch but way I like itHighly recommend this place ,, really really niceThank you guys

Food, service and vibes are consistently great. Tried many places over the years, but Penn Tandoori is simply the best, in a league on it’s own. Great value, food and service every single time! The new manager was very welcoming, professional and customer oriented, made our visit memorable.

A great place to dine out, excellent service and atmosphere. Waiters were knowledgeable about different dishes which helps make the right choice. Give it a try and judge for yourselves.

Food is fantastic here and always has been. Since it has been taken over the quality in service has suffered.This an edit a month after - The staff have just knocked a half pint of lager all over my mom. Seriously, your staff need training. You will lose customers.
