Having spoken to Murray (on telephone), Simon (on telephone and face to face), and Martin (face to face), and after an adjournment, my case went ahead today (28th April), with Lynn Swan defending me.I want to say a large thank you to everyone including the Office girls who everytime I have called have been pleasant and understanding.Lynn, helped me win my case against Police Scotland, which I cannot be more grateful for.If you are wrongly charged with a Road Traffic Offence, as I was, I would highly recommend MTM Defence Lawyers.

If I could leave 0 stars I would!! A family member of mine contacted this company, and my god I can’t believe the UNPROFESSIONALISM - disgusting!! Specifically from Mr Simon Hutchison. I am absolutely disgusted at how my family member has been treated and to read the email correspondence from Mr Hutchison was appalling!!Complaint procedures will be followed!

I met 3 lawyers from MTM over a period of almost 2 years and they were all exceptional. They were punctual, understanding, extremely knowledgeable and caring. The main lawyer I was represented by was Neil Hay, and he is a credit to his profession. He explained everything in a straightforward manner, he was personable, and he was reassuring. Any question I asked he always knew the answer. I really don't think I could've asked for anything more; from the first day to the very last day, I felt like he was there not just for me but for my family over what was a very tough ordeal. You could tell that he really cared about the situation, and wanted to help. I would recommend Neil to anyone.

Called this firm on 17 October to seek legal advice - due to holidays they were unable to speak at that time but scheduled a phone appointment for 27 October 4.00pm - no call came and on phoning I was told there had been a ‘glitch’ in the diary and my name / time was not in but someone would call me back shortly and definitely before end of day. No call came so I called next day and no explanation was given for no call but was promised Mr Morrow would call me at 3.30 today - unfortunately that time came and went and again no call. Called to ask why no contact and told he had been tied up with other appointments but no explanation on why I was not contacted by anyone to apologize / inform or reschedule. Would recommend not using this firm as they appear incapable of delivering any modicum of customer service

I would recommend anyone to use MTM, the office staff are responsive, understanding of situations and very helpful in passing on information to the team of solicitors. Mr Morrow & Mr Aitken are both friendly, pleasant and very accommodating, the service they offer is invaluable. Highly recommended!

Mr Hay and his team represented me over a 12 months period. Mr Hay demonstrated excellent knowledge of the Scottish criminal system and strategic thinking, two attributes that I found very helpful as my case progressed. I was very pleased with the outcome and how I was advised during the process. The team at MTM were professional and answered any questions I had in a timely manner. I would happily recommend Mr Hay if you require such services.

Low levels of administrative competence left me feeling like I had chosen the wrong people to take up my case. I was given no indication of whether or not I would qualify for legal aid, even though I'm sure they know what the criteria are. When the legal aid board rejected my application for legal aid, MTM emailed me a copy of the appeal application document, even though it specifically says in the document that they are legally required to print it off and give it to their client. When I emailed them to explain that I do not have a printer and need it to be posted, I received no reply. In the end I had to send 3 emails before I finally got a response. The appeal failed too so I had to pay the legal fees. Even now I don't know why I wasn't eligible for legal aid. All I was told was No". When I called them to try to pay MTM I was told that "only the solicitors can take payments" and that my appointed solicitor was on holiday until the following week. I called on the Monday and was then told that it wasn't just the solicitors that could take payment and they didn't know why I would have been told that.A date was set for the "intermediate diet" where MTM would officially inform the court that I intended to plead not guilty. I expected to be given an update either that day after the hearing or the day after. I received nothing. When I contacted them to chase them up for info I was told that my solicitor was on holiday (again) and so I arranged for him to call me. This is 2 days before the case is due to happen and this is the first real discussion about my case with my solicitor other than the very first 15 minute introductory call. We have had no discussion about strategy

They act for you, then act against you, this lacks morality and decency. Mr. Hutchinson more concerned about getting his drug dealing client off, than decency to the victim or the truth. Horrible lawyer, this my opinion only.
