Very quiet station which was pleasant for us when we came but I can imagine how busy it must get on match days at Brighton and Hove Albion AMEX Football Stadium ! Being the station service this football ground, Falmer is a small village on the outskirts of Brighton as is the stadium.

Seems average at first glance, but it doesn't seem to be well designed to handle the sports fan traffic as the platforms aren't very wide and there's only two tracks etc. Car park is small and buses stop nearby. Step free access is provided to the platform towards Lewes and Eastbourne.

Falmer station is a very small train station with southern train services stopping here. There are two universities nearby and also Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club right next door on matchdays the station is full and extremely busy with football fans. There is only two platforms here disabled access is available to both platforms. There are ramps right outside. Also in the ticket hall there is a photo booth available. Its a nice train station.

Lewes-bound on the north side, Brighton-bound on the south side. A perfectly reasonable village station, unfortunately this is the station for two large-ish universities whose students usually want to go into Brighton. The platform can get rather cramped and there's a lack of covered space on the Brighton-bound platform. What little seating there is on the Brighton-bound side isn't exactly comfortable. Your best bet is to learn how to time your train to perfection so you don't have to wait for long in the rain.

Small station with just two platforms. One for going in to Brighton and one for going to Lewes/ Eastbourne/ Ore.Friendly, helpful staff. Toilets on the platform are also free to use and well kept.
