Castle Park Golf Course

What a rude/ aggressive little man that owns this course is all I can say. Parked up to take my young daughters to yester castle. I asked some golfers who were very polite where to go and was about to head into the golf office to ask for more info when the owner starts yelling over giving me rules and points in a very aggressive manner... asking where I got directions ect... Google!! He soon walked away when he got a mouthful back.

Great friendly club with a full 18 holes with a different challenge on each course in great condition and driving range available with a members practice area for the short game.

What a lovely time I had today, 9 holes, green rolling countryside and well kept fairways and greens.A warm welcome in the clubhouse by all and a golf range to warm up with before I tackle the other 9 holes.Give it a try folks, it's a great place to enjoy the game.I hadn't been there for a long time but I'll be back soon.

Great course in superb condition (January) greens fast and true, credit must go to the greenkeepers who are doing a wonderful job with the upkeep. Club house staff were extremely nice and welcoming add the lovely food and you have a winner for your golfing days, looking forward to my next visit

Went in to ask for directions to Yester Castle. Greeted by an angry rude man saying the first thing you should have done is ask for permission to park here". Certainly not the professionalism and or demeanour you would expect of any member/staff at any good golf club."

Went to have a look since it has re opened. Guy couldn’t be any nicer to us and offered us to play. But just finished playing somewhere else so did not have the time. Anyway club house is excellent but the course still needs work fairways greens and tee boxes look very hairy so needing some work but all in all looking good. Nice to see it open again.

The “people” who run this place might be descendants of the goblins that built Yester Castle some 800 years ago. Strange, angry bunch. Came for a wee visit and scoped out the castle, golf course and driving range as I may wish to play here soon. Perhaps not. This place is appalling and crumbling apart. The people are totally miserable, I think it’s a husband and wife duo. They are so miserable and agro that it’s actually amusing to witness. What a strange life to live, running a hillbilly golf course and furiously shouting at people all day over nothing. These people are unconscious.As soon as I entered, the husband and wife were shouting at people about the driving range being shut, despite already selling them admission. Gigantic fuss over something so trivial. Some things I’ll never understand. Think about it - they live on a big grass field under a big sky where people hit white balls with sticks into small holes, and this somehow causes uncontrollable outbursts of anger. Interesting to think about.

Course was in good condition considering all the rain we've had. A few signs on tees and for next hole direction would be handy for visitors and some maintenance to steps and bridges. The 12th bridge was extremely slippy. Enjoyed the round.

A little gem. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Course was in very good condition. Front 9 is nice and Flat and open,which warms you up nicely for the back 9.what a back 9 it is.on the hilly side,but some amazing holes.a cracking bit of course design.if parkland courses are your thing,then you will not be disappointed.

Great golf club - relaxed and perfect if you're just beginning like myself.
