David Borthwick did some exterior decorating work for us a while ago. We were very impressed with the professional and friendly approach, and the quality of workmanship was second to none.We have engaged David again to carry out some interior decorating work which will be carried out soon. As part of this, some minor woodwork and plastering work will be attended to. It is these little additional touches that put this business in different league and I have no hesitation in recommending David Borthwick for all decorating work.

We used Borthwick Decorators to paint our the walls, ceiling, bannisters and skirting in a full height entranceway/staircase and they did a fantastic job.Communication with David was first class and he went out of his way to accomodate us with a really tight turnaround time. His workmen all really punctual, friendly and first class painters. They cleaned up after themselves and were happy to be left alone to just get on with the job.Delighted with the finished outcome and would definitely recommend.

Borthwicks have just finished up repairs and repainting of our exterior woodwork. They produced a detailed and accurate itemised quote for us and worked to it. We’re really pleased with the standard of the work and are now using them for an interior decorating job. We’d definitely use them in future.

I contacted Borthwick's with an urgency to strip the wallpaper in my large victorian property to assess damage caused to my house and to also come back and decorate it when other works were done. From the initial phone call I was at ease. David made time to come out quickly and made time to have a team to do the initial work needed. My property was built in 1865 and needed sympathetic people under a time limit with structural damage and they did it! I cannot wait to get them back for the end decorating. Hard working professionals, on time, work to briefs, respectful and knowledgeable in their craft. If you are looking for real time served professionals then this is your company. Not the cheapest but in my own professional opinion, you pay for quality. Totally worth it! In a renovation or a redecoration they are a breath of fresh air.... had I known this properly I could have gone on holiday!

Very extensive interior decorating just finished here. It was long, long overdue and needed a lot of crack filling and preparation in general.The effort and time put in to getting a good finished quality exceeded my expectations - I'm a bit of a perfectionist. A very hard working crew who arrived bang on time every morning and worked late on several days. All were polite and diligent and totally flexible when we changed colour choices mid project. New paint was there next morning. I've spent 30 years looking after the exterior of this property and I think I have at last found a company I will trust to do the job for me.

We have had our exterior paintwork done by Borthwick Decorators and are extremely pleased with the outcome. The painting team were very tidy and always polite. I asked Borthwick's along with two other companies to quote for the repair to minor water damage in the the wall and ceiling, paint two walls, and also to paint 9 door frames in the hall. I went with Borthwick's as I thought I would get a superior finish, even though they were the more expensive.The repair was fine, and the painting was OK. However some adjoining surfaces got painted and were not cleaned off. And the door frames were not adequately rubbed down. The job was completed by one guy in a day.At just short of £1k, I thought I would get more than 1 guy for 1 day.
