Balquhidder Parish Church
Balquhidder church is well-detailed, almost unaltered and occupies a prominent position at the heart of Balquhidder. It is open to visitors and brings up to date the long story of worship in the glen.In 1734 the most famous outlawed MacGregor, Rob Roy MacGregor, was buried a little to the east of the Old Church, where he still lays, alongside his wife and two of his sons.

Balquhidder Parish Church
This is a beautiful parish church in dressed stone, built 1853 by David Bryce. The Church Bell was donated by Rev Robert Kirk (1644-92), a notable boulder font and the supposed gravestone of St Angus, possibly 9th century. The ruins of the old parish church are in the graveyard where there are many intriguing carved stones, including that of Rob Roy MacGregor.

Die Paris Church mit Friedhof und Wasserfall ist ein beeindruckendes Kleinod. Eingebettet in eine fantastische Landschaft findet man hier Ruhe und Inspiration. Sehr, sehr empfehlenswert.

I was there, standing at the grave of this hero. Many years are gone, still i remember like yesterday. Got goosebumps..., this place is unbelievable, so the nature and people are. I miss it.
