Streetenvy Dance & Fitness Academy (Bristol Studios)

Terrible experience- Simon has been an absolute nightmare to deal with . My husband had paid for a full term in plenty of time before the cut off date (he charges late fees if you pay after that ) . He messaged me telling me I had not paid and advised the total was £10 extra - I advised I was certain I had paid but he was ademant I had not . I asked him to wave the late fees as I had clearly attempted to pay and had advised him that the PayPalLink was not working (an often occurrence) but I was still confused as I was sure I had paid . After a few messages back and too he agreed to wave the extra charges but the interactions were unpleasant. I paid for another full term . Later that day my husband confirmed he had paid and I got back in touch with Simon as I had now paid twice , he was pretty rude stating that the payment was not labelled correctly, the payment was clearly linked to my daughter as we all have the same surname - anyway he said that he will take the 2nd payment for the next term but he need an extra 6.50 as there is an extra week which I paid . The new term started and due to unforeseen circumstances my daughter had to miss 2 weeks consecutively (she is 6 years old) I then got hassled by Simon stating that she needed to catch up and send videos of her performing to him or else she will hold everyone back. Simon sent what’s app voice notes with an awful attitude telling me that if she doesn’t catch up then it will ruin the performance in the summer . I was aware that this was happening but assumed it was optional - he messaged the group chat advising that both performers and audience needed to buy tickets for the event however my daughter was clear she did not want to do this . I thought these classes were a bit of fun , she is in an absolute beginner class . I advised that Deryn told me she wasn’t taking part and he was stressed and almost a angrey in his voice note communications. He advised if she doesn’t send video evidence of her catching up she would have to sit out of part of the classes - at this point I decided to withdraw deryn from street envy . It was 6 weeks until the new term started and I knew there was a 4 week notice period however as 2 of those weeks were school holidays I was advised they did not count . As he already had an extra terms fees I asked him to transfer it back to my account - this didn’t happened for 2 weeks ! I had to chase him for the payment - I found it interesting that he is quite happy to charge late fees cancellation fees ect but there was no urgency on his part to return a payment that I had only paid due to an error on his part! He deducted £6.50 from what I had paid . I have never experienced anything like this before and I found the experience extremely uncomfortable, Simons communication style is extremely unprofessional and rude .

My daughter joined Streetenvy 3 years ago knowing nobody and was welcomed into this amazing dance family from day one! The classes provide the perfect mix of fun and energy whilst also challenging the dancers to constantly improve and develop their dance skills. Performing at the Streetenvy shows twice a year gives everyone an exciting focus, and a real feeling of being part of the dance community, not to mention an incredible amount of self-confidence and self-belief. I cannot talk highly enough of Simon and his fantastic team!

Before I moved away from Bristol, I used to LOVE attending Streetenvy classes. A major plus for Streetenvy is the performing opportunities Simon provides - attending weekly classes and working towards something makes it all feel worthwhile and it's such a sense of achievement coming offstage fully costumed after putting in that hard work. Simon ensures rehearsal videos and up to date info is put on your class WhatsApp group, so it's ridiculously easy to just get on your phone and practise or find out info.Thank you Simon and I miss Streetenvy!

I am from Rocktopus, a Rock band for kids and families performing across the UK and visiting hundreds of schools providing music workshops.We recently worked with Simon from Street Envy to create 11 music videos for a project we’re working on.Simon worked with 2 young dancers to create amazing choreographies for our songs. The effort, skill and quality were far beyond what we had hoped for. What really struck us was the relationship he had with the young people. There was a deep mutual respect and Simon was excellent at getting the absolute most out of the dancers, while keeping their physical, mental and emotional well-being as his top priority.The adults and young people lucky enough to have found street envy are working with people who are utterly passionate about what they do, and know how to make it fun and inspiring.We highly recommend Street Envy and are very grateful of all they’ve done for us.

I've been attending Streetenvy for over a year now and absolutely love it. The various courses and special events, classes, shows, videos and performances are all so much fun. As a busy mum of two kids it's brilliant to just forget everything else in life, concentrate on learning the amazing choreo and focus on the dancing. Simon is such a fun teacher with brilliant ideas who always keeps things fresh and interesting and the people I've met through the classes are all so lovely. Would highly recommend xx

Wow. Just returned from the show that Street Envy put on and I’m absolutely blown away. It’s evident that there is A LOT of work that goes into not just the choreography and music choices, but the setting up of the venue and all the extra little bits too. People of all ages loving life, so special to watch. The musical theatre production of Grease was absolutely superb. Simon puts his life and soul into his work and it’s evident that he loves passing his excellent dancing skills on to adults and children alike. I hope my children continue dancing for life. Thanks so much for helping them shine and improving their confidence. Would recommend 100% ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

As a proud member of Streetenvy Dance academy for many years, I cannot comprehend the achievement, enthusiasm and excitement each class brings.The extensive list of different classes and activities outside of dance is astonishing. Brings joy to everyone who is involved and one's yet to join.I moved to Bristol 6 years ago, not knowing anyone. Having no support network, being in a position of doubt and lacking in confidence. Streetenvy has changed my life in so many ways for the best. I've learnt to be confident, make friends and do something I enjoy. Joining as a complete beginner with no previous experience, I was welcomed with open arms. Achieving goals I could not imagine.The list is endless: dance evening/day socials, performances, weekly dance classes, laughter, fun, and encouragement are words to describe a beautiful few years.Instructors at Streetenvy, show courage, hard work, and excitiment in everything they do. There is never a dull moment in classes, and performances. 6 years ago I could not imagine being in a position to say I would be performing and dancing with such an amazing group of people who I can now call my Streetenvy family.

GloEnvy -An amazing workout class that brought the clubbing vibe to fitness. The low-level lighting, disco lights, and glow sticks set the perfect energetic ambiance. Simon, our instructor, was friendly and motivating, which made me feel at ease. The dance moves were absolutely fantastic, and even as a beginner I could join in without hesitation. This workout left me feeling energised, and I can't wait to return next week. I highly recommend this class for a fun and inclusive fitness experience!

I have been dancing at this studio for 3 and a half years and all have been amazing. This feels like a family more than just a company and we are given so many opportunities to perform including shows every 6 months, Chinese New Years (as shown in the picture), Bristol pride and more. You may think your too old or not good enough to dance but here there’s no limits.
