I ordered the Fried chicken in a large paid £17 on just eat and it arrived with pure chicken bone and one little piece of chicken chopped up. As a Jamaican they are having a laugh. Nobody can fool me with one chop up piece of fried chicken and I ordered a large. STOP TEEF FROM PEOPLE

I came here on Sunday 13 August at around 14:30. I parked my car on the opposite side of the road and headed over to order food. First thing I was met with was a barrel blocking the doorway and a black girl pushing up her face acting like she really didn't want to be there. Just so people know, I am black before anyone assumes it's a white person being 'racist.'I asked 'why' I couldn't come in, she said 'we never let anyone in' - I said 'since when?' she responded with 'since Covid times' then rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders as if to say, please, why make such a big deal out of it.Let me just make this categorically clear, I have known the owner since inception of this shop, circa 2003, he is the ONLY person I deal with when going in the shop as the women in there are typical of a yard food shop (vex, angry, face push up and acting like you put a gun to their head forcing them to do their job). He has only ever treated me with the utmost respect and is the most humble person I know, I really wanna know what my man is doing having these fool fool people running his shop losing him money RAPIDLY.I asked for soup, she said 'we don't do soup on a Sunday', I knew exactly where this was leading from that one line, as is always the case with JAMAICAN food shops - I then proceeded to ask if she had curry mutton, she said 'no' - I asked for dumpling 'we haven't got any' - I then said, 'what DO you have?' She proceeded to point to a white menu card to the left of me and said 'EVERYTHING WE HAVE IS ON THERE', then stared me out like she wanted to fight me - just so people are getting the gist of this, the MENU CARD consists of EVERYTHING the shop possibly sells, but didn't she just tell me that they are sold out of the things I asked her for...?!!? I then paused and thought ok, this girl is clearly spoiling for a fight, I was ready to leave there and then. I looked at her and said, 'so you have all this, but you don't have what I asked for?' She said 'that's correct.'I then ordered peppered prawns, peppered steak and around £40 worth of food, then asked how long it would be - she said '10 minutes tops', I said no problem and went and sat in my car. I returned 20 minutes later, as could see people were turning up in droves and was mindful of the fact that people may have ordered before me. I went over to get my food, she ignored me, continued to talk to other people. I then said could I have my food please, she said 'it isn't ready yet', I said I've been in my car nearly HALF AN HOUR, you said 10 MINUTES, she responded very sarcastically with; 'oh has it really been that loooong' - I said listen you've been nothing but rude from the moment I came here, you have pxiss poor business acumen and your attitude is disgusting. She then said; 'so you won't be wanting your food then?' I said no thank-you, stick it in your front!' and walked away. This place has gone downhill and clearly the owner either doesn't care or is unaware of what's going on in his absence. I haven't had to utilise my Jamaican vocab in nearly 2 decades, sometimes the situation calls for it though...I don't like leaving negative reviews, but she absolutely DESERVED THIS, she's a nasty piece of work, and the shop has turned into a complete sxhit hole.The other negative reviews are not lying at all, please believe them, every word they say. Go over to Delly's, tip top customer service and the food tastes good!! I ALWAYS tip them large amounts when I go in there, which is rare for a Caribbean food shop.

I just went there today for the very first time and oh WOW !I believe I ordered Vegetarian Curry and it was sooo beautiful that I had to write the review ! Amazing service - both ladies were so lovely and caring ! Regular portion was huge - for two people ! Great price for the value ! 100% Recommended and will eat there more often ! Well done ! Beautiful job with the fresh and delicious food ! ( I never write any reviews - even when I am happy, but I had to for this one! )

Just started working in the area and found this great place, food is absolutely delicious, and the people that work here are so kind, always give you something extra. The place is always super clean. Thank you for the great service.

Never answer the phone, food to expensive and the quality of food not good now days. Waiting time is ridiculous, and still confused why people are still having to queuing outside. They also need some kind of delivery service

When I arrived they only had a few options left (so make sure you get there early to get what you want!) but thankfully all the options they had seem fantastic (That's the problem - everything's great!" said the woman who worked there.) Food here is very good best in the area. However why is the restaurant still asking customers to que outside? Could understand that when COVID was rampant but surely not now.

Asked for a jerk chicken in coco bread with coleslaw for £5 and what i got was dry chicken, chopped up really finely and definitely not cooked today, in dry bread with a scraping of mango chutney. I expected salad, but not one bit of leaf to be seen. It was one of those where it was so dry that it was hard to swallow. Hate to say it but jerk in coco at Patty King is 100 times better for less at £3.50; moist, fresh, delicious and with salad!
