Bit dark in here for me, but if that your thing you will love it. Probably inkeeping with the building to be fair but a little bit more illumination would be nice.

Visited the Pub for the first time 29/10/23 to attend a live music event upstairs in the attic which is the Cat Club. Michael Messer and Chaz Jankal did a fantastic acoustic set of songs.The Pub itself is a really lovely place inside with a great selection of beers and the staff are very welcoming and friendly to everyone.The Cat Club is great and the venue is very atmospheric, friendly and fun. The live sound is absolutely excellent.I would recommend this lovely pub and music venue to everyone who loves a proper pub and loves live music.

Friendly, thriving pub with lovely staff and a great selection of beers. My pictures show the large upstairs room, where we attended a book launch by local author and TV presenter Ian Clayton. Excellent facilities

Lovely place and plenty of beer choices .quaint little rooms and candle lit. Very atmospheric. We'll worth a visit. Staff and people very friendly also.

I called in today on my own with my little dog. I was made so welcome by the lovely couple. The customers too were very welcoming, even though I havent been in there for maybe 20 years. I would highly reccomend this quaint little pub and I will be sure to visit again. Thank you for making me feel welcome. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

On arrival the landlord gave me a guided tour. Really nice regulars in a comfy setting, log fired in the winter months with a good selection of beers to choose from. There are live bands entertaining during each month with tastes for all kinds of music.Nice start to the night when visiting Ropergate or a snug afternoon tipple, definitely one to go to!

They do not serve food, but it has a great atmosphere and it us very popular with people of all ages. Once a month they have entertainment upstairs in what is known as the CAT club. They also have a quiz once a week.

Absolutely spot on traditional pub. The landlord & his family are super welcoming. The atmosphere is spot on & they do so much for local community groups & charities.Highly recommended ✅
