Pretlove's Removal and Storage Ltd

Wonderful Experience, We had not moved home for 33 years and was dreading the removal. Pretloves took the stress away, the three guys who turned were polite, professional and made the day fun. They turned up at the new place before us and even set up our garden table in the sun so that we could chill. They made a makeshift tent out of an old tarpaulin I had so we could keep some of the garden tools dry if it rain as my shed had not turned up. 11/10 Pretloves. Thank you

Pretlove's were brilliant, they could not have been more helpful before. on the loading & unloading days. A special call out for Mark, Charlie & Richard. Made what was a very stressful time significantly easier - thank you. Would recommend them every time (although we don't intend moving again any time soon!!)

Couldn't recommend them more!It poured with rain on moving day and we had to park further away than we expected.I was also quite drained on the day as the house had a few issues before we moved into it.The guys were really friendly, professional and upbeat, I didn't hear them complain at all. I couldn't believe how quickly we were done, they made everything look so easy.If I had moved with just myself and family like we were considering, I don't think I could have moved all my electronics in the rain without losing something, I also think we would have made a real mess of the house when we moved in.Getting a quote was really easy, the guy who came round to talk us through everything was really reassuring.And for future reference, everything they did for us was was during the covid period, so not exactly an easy time.EDIT: wanted to add, we felt that the price was really good value for money!

A belated “thank you” to the Pretloves’ team who moved us at the end of November.From packing to the actual move it was a thoroughly professional service delivered in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner.This was amply demonstrated when delays in the chain meant that the team were twiddling their thumbs while it got darker and darker until we finally got the keys.An excellent service.

My advice is to avoid this company.Unfortunately my partner and I used them to move us from Harlow to Frinton, including storage, while we waited for completion of our house purchase. Collection of our stuff for storage was fine. Delivery was when things went wrong. Phone call from driver saying they were delayed as the forklift hadn't been charged up so they couldn’t load the containers! Two hours later they turned up.My main complaint is due to the items damaged or broken. A standard lamp had the solid base broken, two plastic garden storage chests had cracks in them, a large terracotta strawberry pot was broken in two, and a concrete buddha was missing its head. We found the head in another flower pot. The attitude of the men was to say the least disappointing. Apparently the standard lamp was ok when it was brought in! The only reason it looked ok was because it was leaning against a sofa. Their reaction to the garden items was ‘we aren’t responsible for damage to outside items as they could have been affected by frost’. I soon discovered, when I reported the damage, that this was the company line, they probably have training courses on it.In two emails I have asked Anne Pretlove to tell me where this exception was in their Terms and Conditions and pointed out that the T and Cs state that they take responsibility for goods from collection to delivery without any exceptions. She has not given me any answer to my question!Their website states that everything is stored in secure warehouses, oh no it isn’t. We had some scaffold boards used for garage shelving which, when delivered, were wet, mouldy and smelly in places. Surprisingly, Anne Pretlove admitted in writing that they were stored outside.And finally, to add insult to injury, they are still sending us invoices for storage totalling £670 this month and last month.I repeat my opening statement, avoid this company.

Very happy with service couldn’t fault the organisation of the move. The 2 marks and Brian were excellent. I would recommend them to anyone.

We used Pretlove for a local move, after a previous customer recommended them to us. They were brilliant throughout, from quoting to unloading. Their prices were very competitive. Their packing service was fantastic value and done extremely well. Great care was taken and every member of staff was friendly and professional. They took all the stress out of moving and I would recommend highly to anyone moving in their area. Thank you to all at Pretlove's but particularly Elliott, Mike and Trevor.

Moving quality 3/5. They did the get the move done. The first crew (house -> storage) had a bad attitude from the start and damaged a number of furniture items. Scratches, bangs, etc. The second crew were great. It's clearly a hit or miss with the crews.Storage 1/5. They lead you to believe you will have access to your items. That they will bring containers to your house which they will store items into. That's not true. They brought a regular truck and the crew then had to go back to their storage facility to put things into the containers (explains a lot of the additional scratches we found on our items). Secondly, they give you the impression that you can access your containers but this is also not true. They moved our things into a container storage facility that was more than an hour away (Epping) even though we intended to use the closer one (Safron Walden). This was explained because the crew was from Epping and they had to get back home. Then it transpired that to access our stuff we had to announce it in advance (a date a month into the future was provided) and pay a price for it. None of this was obvious at the time when we hired them. My recommendation is not to use their storage service.Admin 0/5. This is really the poorest part of the service. Whoever is in charge of their admin/organization is doing their job very poorly. Everything took so many phone calls to organize, bouncing between different people, being told things would be set up, organized but they slipping through. Don't even bother trying to email them. On the phone, they were not at all friendly and came across quite combative on any question, even though we were very friendly and apologetic. The owner of the company is the only person who came across friendly and professional. They can't even provide a proper quote or a proper invoice, they sent us a doc to fill it out ourselves.I would advise the management to upgrade their operational processes into 21st century and to be more transparent regarding how their storage service works.

We had an excellent experience with this removals company. The communication was very good and we thought they were good value for money. A brilliant team of Stuart, Martin and Charlie moved us to Bristol, from Saffron Walden this week. Very professional team, helpful and good humoured. Thank you to everyone at Pretloves who helped to take the stress out of our move.

I have to say what a pleasant experience the three days were.On day one Richard and Trevor were like a whirlwind, packing everything in about 4/5 hours.On day two again the team did everything so quickly. Amazed how it all went in, real experts.On day three, great work and very helpful and patient when we could not make up our minds where to put things.The thing we will remember is how well the team worked together, always smiling and cheerful and nothing was too much trouble.Please thank them all.Happy to recommend Pretloves.
