Kevin the driver slid into my car in icy conditions outside my place of work an MOD site.He gave me his details admitting liability and informed his boss. Proctors have not informed their insurance company and I now have to claim off my own insurance. They make a lot of money from their MOD contract shame on them.

The always forever late , driving miss daisy, once an hour #73 Northallerton-Bedale service is the only bus where the seating priorities go with the elderly giving seats for the disabled or the the disabled giving up for the elderly and when that’s out done this heavily rammed bus service is full of standing up pensioners, I can see now why the going past second gear isn’t an option. This bus route is an embarrassment to those that provide it and along a heavily residential route like this clearly is, the ‘turn up when it eventually turns up’ and occasionally provide the smaller seated bus as an even more inconvenience is only once a hour! They say they try to get more people to use the buses …. Clearly not in Procters running of a public service.

amazing company buses are always on time. Once we had an issue and a lovely young lad came down to sort the problem and he was extremely polite and quick thinking. Would 100% reccommend

Absolutely first rate service, were incredibly kind to my little boy who, after getting flustered readying himself to leave the bus managed to leave both his coat and his gym bag aboard. Not only did Procters call me back to confirm that the items had been found but one of the drivers even brought the items back to me at home on his way home from work. Now that's what I call service and I simply cannot thank them enough. :-)

My daughter has to use this bus company everyday to go to college, they leave them stood outside in the cold in the middle of winter at 7:30 in the morning in the middle of northallerton high street or sometimes on a random housing estate. On the way back from collage they are meant to be picked up by 5 to be bought home yet many times it has been 6:30 they get picked up one almost 7pm. Absolutely pathetic worst bus company going, so unorganised not to mention the constant breakdowns that they have - another thing, many of the people leaving the reviews are the people who work for proctors or even there friends Leaving fake reviews to make the company look better

Woman driver dangerously reversed a huge coach into the school lay-by without being able to see if there was any children behind the coach. Blocked 3 roads preventing anyone from leaving the school carpark, the road from the left or the lay-by which was full... When challenged on her dangerous behaviour said it was the taxi drivers who were the problem as they only pick up one child ... Rude woman reported to the council for dangerous driving.. Kevin called about her behaviour and was abusive on the phone ... Shame I could not give zero stars for their dreadful attitude, certainly would not trust them with any of my children's safety

My two children and I have just returned from a fews days in Ripon and wanting to explore the surrounding area without a car, we used Proctor's 159 Ripon/Richmond service. On Thursday 8th July we had tickets booked for Lightwater Valley and therefore caught the 159 that left Ripon Bus Station at 09.40. We purchased two adult and one child return ticket (my eldest son being 18). Our driver kindly informed us that the bus actually entered the grounds of Lightwater Valley and we would therefore not need to walk from the main road.On leaving the bus I asked the driver if the return bus left at 17.51 as stated on both Proctor's website and on the physical timetables at the bus station. I also enquired if the bus would pick us up at the same location as drop off. Although the driver said he was not 100% sure of the exact time, he confirmed that the return bus would pick us up at that exact location. As Lightwater Valley currently closes at 17.00, and as there was nothing else to do, we arrived at the bus stop at approximately 17.10. I double checked the timetable which indeed confirmed the bus was due to arrive there at 17.51. There was also a notice on the bus shelter stating that during September and October the bus would not pick up at the bus shelter and anyone wishing to catch it would need to walk to the main road. Obviously, as it is July, this did not apply to our journey. We waited at the shelter but there was no sign of the bus at 17.51 and by 18.00 my youngest son who is autistic started to become very anxious. We had a restaurant reservation for 19.00 and we were all concerned that not only would we miss that reservation but also, as this was the last form of public transport that ran from Lightwater Valley to Ripon, we would be stranded.I attempted to telephone Proctor's office just after 18.00, however, it was closed.By 18.10, after waiting one hour, there was no sign of the bus and had it not been for an extremely kind member of the Lightwater Valley staff helping us, I am not sure what we would have done.Whilst I appreciate that emergencies, breakdowns and other unforseen circumstances arise, I am absolutely appalled that, at best Proctor's in no way attempted to leave any form of communication on the bus shelter explaining the bus would not be picking up or, at worst, that they and their staff just didn't bother entering the grounds of Lightwater Valley and just left us stranded. After returning I emailed Proctor's and, not surprisingly received no response. I then messaged them via Facebook but, again, received no reply. After looking at Proctor's Facebook it appears that they are in the habit of leaving people stranded.Make alternative arrangements if you can, do not rely on this joke of a company.

On 25th September my car was written off by procters school bus while I was parked. I'm a 77 year old pensioner, I have been totally ignored by them and their insurance company QBE. Not only have I been totally traumatised by this having to find another car, they are refusing to pay my out of pocket expenses totalling £498.84, receipts available which I have had to pay from my pension . I'm now having to spend even more money taking them to court to recover this. As far as I am concerned the Procter family are an disgraceful bunch of people.

All please note, North Yorkshire Police have a site for driving offences called Op Snap. Film their behaviour & submit the footage for prosecution. Which is what I would have done when my daughter who is a learner, was tailgated by one of these unprofessional Herbert's recently.

Kevin and the team were great, they put up with my many of anxious queries leading up to our wedding day. The bus was fantastic and the service was top quality! Would definitely recommend!!!
