Hills Waste Solutions - Purton Household Recycling Centre

Very efficient and friendly staff.I wouldn't go there for a day out and they don't serve coffee but the best recycling centre i've used.Closed on Tuesday and Wednesday but on the other hand, open all weekend :-)recycling in centre is different than for the bin men, you need to seperate cardboard, plastic, tins into seperate bags.

This waste site is superb. Efficient booking system, helpful and friendly staff, and they even try to park you next to the skip you have the most waste to put in. 5 stars doesn't really do the team justice. My only minor gripe would be the short opening hours, which makes weekday visits impossible for most people working a typical 8-5, but I've never struggled to get a weekend appointment.Keep up the good work!

Sunday 12:20 gate close . After update in front of the gate Trafic was hold for 30 min due container swap. Not a best time but sometimes no other option.

Very pleased with the experience of our first trip to the Tip - a bit sad I know but that's lockdown for you! Two lovely ladies, one on the gate and one inside who were very freindly and efficient and kept things moving. Well organised inside the site which enabled us to get through quickly and out.Three other points: if people are late for thier appointment they should be moved down the queue of people who are on time. And could the road marking for the speed ramps be repainted - we are told it is a single track road so one is looking at the road and not up for ramp signs - the first one was quite a surprise! The yellow box by the site entrance needs renewing as well. Perhaps tell people to ignore their satnav when they get near the site otherwise, like us, we got directed down a small side road which must drive the locals mad! I think it was called New Rd? I sing at that point might be useful. Thank you. Michael

Very attentive and helpful staff, easy access and no queue, no appointment needed, very well organized, much better than the recycle center in Swindon. I highly recommend Purton recycle center. But make sure bring proof of address. Thank you again.

I totally understand why it is booking only but you could at least change your pic or logo to reflect this on your Google page or send leaflets out to your residents. Rather than leaving it for residents maybe elderly spending hours loading their cars only to be told to go away as they weren't told its booking only. Councils should make an effort to get this message out especially for the elderly and vulnerable. I myself can cope but you may have just wasted hours of someone's day who struggles to get out.

Braved visiting the tip today, thought it would be really busy, it was very well organised and the traffic flowed in and out well. Due to no queues, I visited four times today and each time, went straight in and emptied my car load! Excellent.

Well organised and professional. Helpful staff.If you have a van or trailer you need to get a permit to go there, which i think is free.

As always, an easy smooth visit, the staff are always available to help and assist with any needs. A great service.
