I don't usually leave reviews but I would like to leave one now. Days ago I booked through their website an appointment with a random hairdresser. It was my first time going.I went to the salon and when I sat down I started to explain the type of cut I wanted. I want to point out that English is not my first language, so it was already difficult, but I translated everything I wanted from this haircut so I felt confident.The hairdresser did not even try to understand what I wanted and I felt a lot of pressure since she kept telling me that usually clients bring a picture" with the haircut they want. So I started to look out for something on the Internet but feeling under pressure I pointed to a cut but kept insisting on the features I would have wanted. I did not feel comfortable and felt like the hairdresser wanted to hurry up and do my hair.She cut my hair as in the picture.Today I washed my hair and the cut looks horrible on me. Simply unsuitable for my face shape

I had a lovely time at the salon everyone was very welcoming and chatty. I was happy with my hair initially but it wasn't completely what I asked for in terms of the tone of purple and root smudge. I wasn't sure at the time if I was being too picky but after going to a different salon I realised it wasn't worth the £250 that I paid (with student discount) - important to note my hair started off blonde and I had a cut so it was a full transformation. The root smudge was quite far from my scalp (I did mention this at the time) and was basically in a line not a smudge. I couldn't really notice it at first as the purple dye covered my dark hair a bit but after a couple of washes I noticed it but wasn't sure if that was how it was supposed to look. The 3rd picture is 6 weeks after the appointment (there is regrowth but my point is about the smudge and how it should have grown out nicely so I didn't have to get the roots done every 6 weeks as that was the whole point of it!). It looks like it been growing out for months not 6 weeks! Also the colour turned out pinky purple not cool toned purple like I asked for very specifically. As you can see in the first image my hair did look lovely but just wasn't worth the price for me for the above reasons so I wouldn't go back.

I booked a consultation with the most experienced person in the salon as I have a very unique hair. It took me 20 min to drive to the place, 25 min (!) to find parking which I also needed to pay for. When arriving I was informed that the person has left to pick up his kids from school and since my hair is unique he is the only one who can help me 'so you better come another day'. They were obviously too busy or careless to give me a shout to let me know that the appointment is cancelled. Oh and by the way when I entered the place three women were at reception chatting away so it's not like they were extremely busy.Never used their service and will never will.

Nice studio with lovely atmosphere and friendly hairdressers. I made the mistake of asking for layers and sadly my hair is now cut unevenly. I am a little upset but I understand I didn’t communicate what I wanted clearly enough :(Overall a reasonable experience

Nick is an amazing, creative and knowledge hair stylist. He knows how curly hair behaves and how to cut it, also providing advice on how it needs to be treated. I watched in amazement at his cutting technique, explanation of the process, and delivering an excellent result. Very grateful to have made his acqatence, he is an expert of curly hair.

Editing my post to give further feedback. Seems to be a pattern that Renegade say they don’t have a record of someone visiting when they don’t like their review. I had my hair cut here on 14 September 2021 and it was the worst haircut I’ve ever had. Please please don’t go here if you have curly hair - they don’t have a clue what they are doing. I recently went elsewhere and they said they could tell (nearly two years later) how horrendous the cut I had here was as my hair had still not fully recovered. Despite agreeing how much hair I was happy to have cut off they removed far more than this and thinned my hair to the point where it was just thin strands at the ends. Horrible experience hence the 1 star review! I don’t review many places at all but felt the experience here was so bad I wanted to warn others.

Renegade is super nice and always did a great job with my hair. Ferhat did my hair and was absolutely wonderful - I am so pleased with the balayage she did and was a lovely woman who made me feel comfortable. The atmosphere generally was great and the staff are really good - would recommend.

Received a quote on my initial consultation of £85. I got a blonde balayage and was told I was entitled to a discount as it was my first session and also being a student.Upon sitting down, I reconfirmed the price to which he agreed. The dye job went okay, not really what I wanted and the toner was rushed so it was a bit ginger in the sunshine.Was planning on giving a 3* review until I was taken to the front of the shop and told it would be £100 altogether? When I questioned it, they told me that the entire job was originally £120 and only £100 with my discount applied. I found this to be really frustrating when I checked the price 2 times previously and had a strict budget.Key information: this did not include a cut as I was told it would be cheaper that way!
