3rd Poole Sea Scout Group

Our son completed a RYA 1 & 2 dinghy sailing course in summer holidays. Really enjoyed it and keen to do the RYA 3 course next. Excellent comms from Anthony regarding course details and rearranging a date due to postponement for very bad weather.

Dishonest and untrustworthy.This scout club sold my partner a boat motor that is faulty & have completely refused to do anything about it. Unfortunately, rather than settle it and agree to repair/ refund the motor, they have said they refuse to do anything and the motor was sold as seen. This is a £1800 purchase that failed on its first use.We now are looking to action court proceedings but would recommend you avoid this club as the staff are dishonest, immoral and untrustworthy, specifically Anthony.Be aware, avoid.Their reply says it all, we had tests carried out on the engine and they found salt throughout, indicating the engine had never been flushed or serviced, as it had been advertised.Still would advise anyone to avoid.

Two of my boys attended the RYA sailing courses up to level 3 throughout the summer and thoroughly enjoyed it and cannot wait to do level 4 next spring !!

The 3rd Poole sea scout club are unfortunately a shady establishment, I purchased an outboard motor from them that was sold as good working order. This could not be further from the truth, it’s first use showed a fault on the engine that meant it ran in limp mode when under load. The representative (Anthony) who officiated the sale has refused to settle this dispute amicably and now I will be proceeding to do this legally. I would not recommend dealing with them.

RYA Level one. My Daughter enjoyed the day and has asked when she can do her a level 2

Professional and friendly. Safety was paramount. Course was challenging and I gained a good foundation to grow my skills and knowledge to move to the next levels in the RYA framework after more experience on the water with the team.

Attended a course based in the hut. Ideal. Loads of space, kitchen & clean loos. Good tech for our trainers presentation too. Only issue could be limited parking, you'd have to use Poole public car parks. Close to RNLI too.

My son had a great weekend earning his level 1 sailing certificate. A great price and brilliant experience.

My children have/are both going through from beavers to explorers. Well run, engaging and lots of on the water time. Highly recommended. The leaders are engaging and committed to the future our young people. I'm involved in another charity afloat and can say that I would trust my life with this group of people...indeed I trust my children's lives with them!
