King Alfred's Tower Car Park
Excellent but I always hear warnings of car thieves and dog snatching...haven't had problems but be aware.

Nearby to the tower but access is down single track roads from both directions with passing points .Be prepared to give way to oncoming traffic frequently

Lots of shade for hot cars. Van serving snacks and ice cream. Good spot for a picnic.

King Alfred's Tower Car Park
Great FREE car park with NO height barriers, there's also, alpine coffee caravan selling hot and cold drinks, and snacks, great place to see the tower or plenty of green space for walking or relaxing.

King Alfred's Tower Car Park
Stunning and majestic location for a crazy hill top tower (stunning views from the top when its open). The surrounding forests and trails are also worth a really good wander around and there's usually a small coffee cabin open by the main car park too.

This is a free National Trust car park that permits you acees to Alfred's tower and if you adventurous a commanding view of the Somerset levels. You can walk from here to Stourhead and enjoy the gardens, or alternatively explore the western forest and trails. In the centre is an old fort, further down a ruined convent and of course the dramatic walk down six wells bottom. It's great fun for adventuring kids and a bit of outdoors exploration. Even better if you can get down the Spread Eagle pub for some liquid refreshment and food for the journey back. Certainly a must do if you are in this area.

King Alfred's Tower Car Park
It's a car park so there isn't much to say about it.It's fairly well maintained but it's really just a flat gravel/mud area.A fair few spaces although it was almost full when we arrived. Most importantly it's free parking. There is usually a snack/coffee caravan there too (or on other side of the road)

King Alfred's Tower Car Park
A free car park with a coffee van on certain days of the week. The car park is also more dog friendly now with added bins.

King Alfred's Tower Car Park
Leafy rural car park. Alfred's Tower is a short walk away. Also allows access to other walks on the Stourhead Estate.

Easy to find. Short walk to the tower from the car park. Usually a small coffee shop the other side of the road from the car park.
