First time I have been here for years and I won't be going back,this used to be a great chipper,but the chicken fillets I got must be the worst ever, tasteless, greasy and over cooked infact they were totally inedible. Never again

We've been to Jumbo's a few times, but the food has consistently disappointed, it seems fresh enough but the chips are rubbery and the fish is just a bit bland. A shame as we want to support our local but every time has been a regret.

Very disappointed with the carry-out haddock and chips, The chips were soggy and anything but crisp and tasty, and the fish was also little better, being covered in rubbery batter. Has it changed ownership recently? -- it was much better last time I was there (a couple of years ago). For £9.70 I expected a lot more.

Unfortunately since the change of ownership Jumbo's is now very disappointing.I would no longer recommend and would probably rate it as 3* at best. August 2023

I just ordered and took home fish and chips and chicken fillets and chips. And it is by far the worst chicken I have ever seen or tasted in my life. I honestly amNot even sure if it was chicken. The chips were hard. The fish was over cooked. Serious concerns for this place. And the chicken definitely needs looked into. Avoid at all costs

Unfortunately I won't be going back. Standard of the fish was very poor. Very greasy. Asked for a Jumbo Haddock Supper, was more like the size of a Goldfish. Not alot a value for the money.

Just had the finest chips and jumbo sausage in a long time. Lovely polite staff. Were closing and said come in, we'll cook you what you want no problem. After the day I had, music to my ears. So thank you. Will definitely be back...

Fish was extremely overcooked, like it had been sat for hours. It was chewy, and quite disappointing. This chipper used to be great, but since Covid, things have really gone downhill. The taste was there, the chips were good, but the fish was poor. Especially for the price.

Really impressed with the quality of the fish supper and jumbo sausage supper. Fish was fresh and not covered in thick batter. Jumbo sausage was also nice. The chips were cooked well and weren't soggy. We will definitely go back.
