We major in wild sourdough, beer breads, pretzels, & wood fired pizza & our pan-European brasserie menu is available 7 days/week. The Old School House
Lovely terrace in the sun. It was great to sit out and enjoy the weather with good drinks and good friends. We decided to stay for food too, and it was pretty decent. The paddock peppers were definitely under-seasoned - the few with salt were delicious. Pizza was good too!

I really enjoyed the food. Had a pizza and some small plates. Good sized portions and tasty. (Small plates are not that small! :)Desserts were lovely. Deep fried cheesecake was amazing. Will be back.

The food was so nice! What a lovely place! The atmosphere the vibes and the service was great! The fish was amazing and is were the mushy peas!!

Staff were really friendly, service was prompt, and the setting was great - love the way the restaurant looks!Really enjoyed the food, we had pulled duck nachos, Thai curry and a pepperoni pizza, and a side of triple cooked chips. Excellent!

Really disappointing food - the worst that I have had on Lark Lane by some way. For an average of £14 a main meal, you would expect some relatively gourmet products/dishes, but it couldn’t be far from it.You’re left standing at the door for 15 minutes as you enter, feeling like a spare part. Once you’re eventually seated, it doesn’t get any better. The ‘double patty smash burger’ is dry and unseasoned, with the bun clearly having been frozen. The fish was a tiddler that had come straight out of the Leeds-Liverpool canal. The katsu burger devoid of any seasoning or taste whatsoever. There were no check-backs on food, presumably as they know that it wouldn’t look out of place in a Beefeater. £113 for 4 meals, we wouldn’t have paid £40.

The Old School House
Location is great on a bustling street just a short walk from Sefton Park (parking on Lark Lane can be a pain), the restaurant itself is lovely and has a great garden area. Outside dining in nice weather makes a visit even better, lots of choice for food and everything was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they are also dog friendly and have TV’s to watch sports if you like.
