I had a great experience playing here. I did find it a little tricky going round for the first time. I honestly only made it to the 17th hole before I had to give in. I will be back here though as the place is homely and the greens are lush.

The water board have encroached onto the course to build up flood defences. All works will finish by July which makes now a great time to take out annual membership. Call in and speak to Ian.

The course is superb and the Handsworth people friendly and lovely. The food, however, was dreadful. For £18 we had a small, hard, mass-produced, cheap supermarket pie, and chips with broccoli and carrots! For sweet, three small tasteless profiteroles. Take your own sandwiches - worse meal of any club played at this year.

Thank you ESPECIALLY to the caterers (I believe her name was Emma) who made our family and friends so welcome and relaxed for a wake. Really such a great location and lovely people, made our whole experience better.

The course was in excellent condition, only spoilt by the copious amounts of geese excrement over the majority of the fairways. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food we had was nice.

First time playing here, really enjoyed the experience, great facilities, beautiful course, challenging holes. I'd heard stories of snotty members and fussy staff, but didn't experience that personally. Will definitely be back. A+

Really enjoyed playing here. Course in good condition despite the wet weather days before and some of the greens are incredible, green keepers should be proud.The course itself is difficult without being too punishing. Some nice wide fairways with the occasional tight green. Rough was never overly punishing and the fairway bunkers where superbly well placed, really requires you to plot you're way through the holes.Not a criticism but if you're a little older or suffer from mobility issues then I would definitely recommend a cart as it can be pretty hilly in places.Will definitely be going back!
