Avid Indoor Climbing

Took our boy for an introduction to wall climbing and he loved it, staff were really friendly and helpful and kept him safe while he was learning. Soft mats for when they fall and plenty of different difficulty walls to try.

Great bouldering centre with a cute cafe attatched. Great range of difficulty, and they change the routes regularly. As a beginner, there are lots of challenges, and climbing shoes to hire.

We enjoyed a morning here, our girls (9 and 8) loved it.Good mix of slab, wall and overhangs for all abilities. Great food and coffee too.Staff were friendly and helpful.

Welcoming and friendly staff! Very lovely place. We visited at 11am on a Saturday and it was spacious and quiet. There is a cafe serving a range of drinks and also gluten free options (there was gluten free carrot cake when I visited). The place (and toilets) are exceptionally clean.The climbing facilities are great. There are a range of climbs differentiated by colour (the chart showing levels is on the wall). The climbing walls/holds are clean and well looked after. The climbs are appropriately graded and there is a range of challenge. If you forget any equipment e.g. chalk or shoes, it is all available to buy or rent.Very impressed with our visit! Thank you!!!

We joined my daughter & her boyfriend. Had a fantastic time. My husband was loving every minute of it. I am not a climber but enjoyed watching them climb. Staff are fantastic, so friendly & very helpful.

Great place to climb. The staff and clientelle are super friendly and helpful. The only issue is the service on entering... no need to book, but waiting at the till for 5 minutes+ to be served... as in nobody serving. Darting around getting food orders and a guy disappeared for a good few minutes. Once we were served, it was plane sailing.. got our climbing shoes... Great experience

Staff fab, very helpful. 13yo Daughter is the climber. Great facilities. Great cafe. Great for hot-desking whilst your kids climb. Fair pricing. Just wish there were more teen clubs at weekends. After school club to early to be able to get to to attend. As she’s not a huge fan of climbing on her own :(

I love coming here every week. Its a great workout and the walls are continuously changing. Slowly getting better. Great little cafe aswell. Best cappucino ive had.

Very impressed with Avid. The walls are really good with a great variety of grades and types. From pure vertical to more gentle sloped to full on hard overhangs, there is something for everyone here. Great for fun but also if you're serious there are some real challenging grades. Very good for kids too and they do introductory sessions to newbies.Also they have a good selection of coffee and teas along with some good cars. Even gluten free bagels. Finally the staff are really great. Very attentive and helpful. They are what really pushes this to a five star for me. They must really like their jobs and they are doing great. 100% recommend.Also there is a free car park, toilets, changing rooms and lockers for keeping your clothes/valuables safe just bring a pound for the key (you get it back) :)
