Excellent Gait Analysis with CorrieCorrie spent a lot of time and care with me this morning undertaking a gait analysis. He explained everything really well in a way that was easy to understand.He asked me specifically about my injuries and provided tailored advice to help me. I tried a couple of pairs of trainers and found the right pair for me.He was helping 3 customers at the same time and I still felt comfortable on the treadmill and not rushed - brilliant customer service. Lastly, Corrie taught me a useful tip with the laces for better support!Thanks a lot for your help :) I will definitely be back soon!

Went to Up and Running for my first pair of running shoes on recommendations from friends and I'm very glad I did. The staff could not have been more helpful, giving me seven different pairs to try on and each time had me use their running machine to make sure my gait was correct in that pair.Even with their Covid procedures only allowing 2 people into the shop at at time, I never felt rushed and was reassured by how thorough they were.Brilliant service.

Katherine in the Leeds store was brilliant. Really helpful, knowledgeable and supportive, she helped my son and I with our first pair of proper running shoes in prep for a marathon. Shoes were great, advice was spot on. Definitely a great experience

Did you know that as well as your running gait analysis, they also offer bra fitting. Suzie was very helpful, knowledgeable and I left with a running bra that supports me perfectly. Thank you. Highly recommend - great shopping experience.

I visited for a gait analysis due to recurring leg injuries. I've always been of the opinion that I can sort things out myself so I was a bit reluctant to go. I am not able to praise the analysis from the store assistant enough as it really helped me pinpoint what was wrong with not only my trainers but also with me. She was also able to give me some pointers on how to go forwards etc. I honestly didn't think there was so much to consider with running!My reason for giving a lower score is that I wasn't asked a price range and felt like I couldn't back out of the sale at the end. I mean, she'd spent quite a while assisting me, and gait analysis does have a cost to the store (electricity, time, the actual analysis/training to analyse).My trainers (which I hope last me a bloody long time) cost £135, almost twice what I would have felt comfortable paying.UPDATE: I went back for an exchange as the trainers didn't feel quite right and they were still as accomodating as before. After the response I received from the owner I did my own research into the pricing and came to a similar conclusion of pricing etc. I have increased my rating from 3 stars to 4 (I think I was a little naive)

Incredible customer service from Corrie at the up and running Headingley store! I bought some trainers back in Feb (which are awesome) but I’ve been struggling with some blisters the last few weeks during marathon training, Corrie was super helpful and patient as always and gave me some special inner soles for my trainers. No hard sales pitching or trying to get you to buy anything you don’t need- just genuine, great, helpful advice! I have, and will continue to recommend Corrie at Up and Running to everyone I know. After months of trying to run 5k but ending up with cramp in my calves, feet and painfully achy knees I finally got my gait checked out. The service I received was fantastic, my low instep was identified and I was able to test out 6 pairs of trainers on the treadmill to see which was best. There was no pressure to buy but the shoes offered immediately felt better to run in. I’ve now been able to complete 5k without a single ache and am actually enjoying running! In August, I visited Up and Running with the intention of getting some new running shoes. Corrie provided me a huge amount of help and advice; the gait analysis was really helpful and I tested a number of pairs of trainers in my quest to find the best ones for returning to running after a year out with a foot injury. Corrie was able to suggest what the issue with my foot might be (which helped me find some great strengthening exercises online) and that I give Couch to 5k a try to ease myself back into regular running. It was a brilliant experience and I left with a fantastic pair of trainers and renewed excitement. (My husband was so interested that he also ended up buying a pair!) I’ve now completed the Couch to 5k programme and my foot is getting stronger every day. I can’t thank Corrie enough for going above and beyond; his help has genuinely made a massive difference to my physical and mental health and I’m really grateful. Highly recommend

Could not ask for a better service. Great analysis and advice, didn’t lead me in my decision though. Literally the opposite of a hard sell, the guy actually said “are you aware of our prices?” Before he even started. I went for a mid-price trainer that has the support I need (previously using a 2nd hand pair of running trainers from eBay so I know what bad looks like!) and I already know they are going to be great. Awesome shop.

I'm new to running and wanted a gait assessment and some suitable shoes, was a bit wary of going to do these things but was made to feel comfortable straight away by the friendly and knowledgeable staff member. Had a good choice of vegan shoes and was happy to walk out with a new pair of trainers.
