Ridiculously slow turn around. Don't use. Would not recommend.

Mr James recently completed home survey for me.Very detailed and comprehensive report at reasonable fee.Verbal highlights immediately reported and hard copy delivered later.Would certainly recommend from my experience.

Richard James and his wife do not care an iota about their clients and staff.I had the misfortune of having my handbag and mortgage money stolen by gypsies that came onto the branch one Saturday where I was working.I was totally distraught.Richard James had absolutely no empathy for me instead asked ME Why didn't I stop them"?? I left not long after this happened.Richard James only cares about getting as many properties on his books as possible and doesn't care at all about delivering customer care and service to those that have entrusted him as well as paying him substantialfeesm nI left after this. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Useless, lazy, impolite people. The survey took ages, they kept saying they would have it the next day but it never happened. Avoid this company!!!

I saw all the bad reviews so had to say SOMETHING. I can only speak of my experience, but I used these guys in June 2019 for a homebuyers report. I choose them based on a recommendation from someone I trust.They advised me well and the report was performed quickly and I felt the phone conversation I had with the surveyor afterwards was helpful and informative. He explained anything I didn’t understand and helped me feel at ease with what the report was telling me.I think these guys are great.Maybe I was just lucky!

I really do not like leaving bad reviews and I wish I’d checked out the reviews here before I’d instructed James & Pye.To say the valuation took longer than expected is a major under statement. From the moment they were instructed it took approximately 2 months for them to even get into the property (yes the tenants weren’t great however I had multiple other specialists who all managed to get into the property with not too much trouble) and then once they had visited the property it took over 4 weeks for them to create a very basic 5 page valuation report.....I will say however that the customer service I received was relatively good but unfortunately I will not be using them again and I can’t recommend anyone else to use them.

I would consider very carefully before you appoint James & Pye to undertake your business. Having had the misfortune of a property survey from this outfit, I am appalled both at the quality of the report and the diabolical service. Having to wait over 3 weeks for a surveyors report is unacceptable. If you have time and money to waste and are prepared to continually have to chase up reports and documentation then your low expectations will be surely met.

Oh dear, thought I was the only unhappy one with these guys. I present most useless Estate Agent award to .........drum roll.....yes James & Pye.Surely it can't be that bad I hear you cry, my reply is yes it's that bad.In short failed to pursue rent for someone I know, in the end lost them thousands of pounds. Excuses and stall tactics but no use when it came to the time that mattered. Tenant ended up having pets in a no-pet property, plumbed in flexi pipe from downstairs to upstairs without permission and used mahogany chairs to stand on whilst they painted the house. What did James & Pye do? Yeah tumbleweeds, they done nothing. Way I see it , James was too busy eating Pye.I won't trust these with a potato let alone care of a property.
