Last week my girlfriend and I had the joy of attending the Gin Making Class at Sip Antics. Neil, thank you for a night to remember! The Gin Making Class, and the show you put on, was quickly marked as a highlight of 2023 - and rightly so!We went into the class a little blind - our knowledge of gin being rather basic - but the way the class is put together is fantastic.Neil starts at ground level - sharing the four types of gins (citrus, floral, spicy and herbaceous) one by one - allowing us to sample each both on its own and with a mixer. Spending plenty of time on each, Neil introduces gins from all over the world, detailing their fascinating history and flavour formation, bringing them to life with his clear love for storytelling and analogies! Neil’s passion and his knowledge is mind-blowing. Every bottle I picked off the shelf - he had an interesting story to tell, a way to bring the gin to life to us amateurs!Following a few samples - and a banging cocktail (!) - Neil ran through the different botanicals, spices, and worldly ingredients that we used to make our own gins. A little tipsy, we set off to pick our ingredients for our own spirit. Neil was there to advise and encourage throughout. The distillation process was really cool to witness. Neil made sure to explain every part of the process - I particularly liked tasting the gin at different times, witnessing the change in the alcohol level and flavour.I could go on all day - what I really want to say is BOOK your class. We had so much fun and learnt a tonne, too. It’s a laugh a minute with Neil (minimum) and this should be prescribed to everyone! I will be taking friends in due course. The perfect gift for Christmas, too. Thanks Neil!

Hands down the highlight of our trip! Or even 2023! Can't thank Neil enough for his knowledge, expertise, humor and kindness. Couldn't ask for a better night and a first distillation of our lives! Cheers to Miklagard 90 ♥️

We had a class this past Saturday and after a change we were the only two. Gary was just an awesome teacher and such a wonderful personality as well as he helped us make a perfect gin. I would suggest this class to all who want to learn about gin and make their own. Small room with all sorts of items to use after you smell and decide what you like. Gary helps with his great knowledge how much of each item to use. The mini still is used to make a bottle approx 44 percent alcohol. I like citrus and chose to make something in that family. You get to wax seal it which is so fun too. The time in this class flew by and we almost were sad to leave. You can also order more when in the uk of your own recipe. You start with a gin and tonic and Gary had no problem with the fact I like lemonade more. Just an amazing experience!

Absolutely brilliant experience. Gary is an excellent host, very knowledgable and clearly passionate about what he does. He helped my wife and I through the whole process of distilling our own bottle of gin. We shared a still and we were the only people there but I think this would be a good experience for groups too. Excellent value for money, Gary prepares you a couple of cocktails over the time it takes to explain how gin is made and your bottle is distilling. Highly recommended!

My wife and I had so much fun and a fantastic time. Neil was extremely knowledgeable, one of the friendliest people we've ever met, and a great teacher. He even answered some of my non-gin related questions afterwards. I can't recommend him enough. Everyone should go, even people who aren't sure if they like gin or want to try something new and fun.

We had an amazing time with Gary. We spent three full hours to each create our own gin. The three of us had a blast having all the great advices from Gary and having the class just to ourselves. It will stay an unforgettable moment.Gary is very knowledgeable and kind. He makes complicated things sound easy. If you want to try, I definitely recommend it. And to be honest, having a mini still just for myself was so much fun. I would clearly recommend the individual experience so that each of you has his/her own bottle.
