Laura Prudence Calligraphy

Laura’s class is absolutely fantastic! I made a commitment to myself that I would learn something new outside of my career and I have always had an interest in calligraphy so Laura’s class was a great fit for me.Everything has been perfect, from Laura’s communication leading up to the day of learning, to the day itself!I am over the moon with releasing an inner spark of creativity in me and very much look forward to learning more as I go!Thank you so much Laura! Laura is an absolutely lovely person. The workshop was extremely informative and well thought through, also tons of fun!Highly recommended.

I first came across Laura last year as her modern brush pen calligraphy caught my eye and I loved the look of it. After visiting her site, and living so far away, I added her online course to my Secret Santa wish list. On Christmas morning I was delighted to open my beautiful box that contained some gorgeous goodies from Laura. After completing the course I was hooked and knew I wanted to do more in person. I was so excited to see that one of her in person workshops fitted in with my holidays from work and I booked it, treating myself to a 40th birthday gift!The 500 mile journey there from Scotland was definitely worth it! The thought Laura has put in and attention to detail was impressive. Each participant received 2 pens, a step by step workbook to follow, Laura’s guidance and expertise and a whole selection of amazing pens to experiment with. Laura is lovely. So warm and welcoming and I instantly felt at ease. She provided encouragement and tips and the time flew past. I couldn’t believe it when it was all over.Laura is extremely talented and has developed her own style of modern calligraphy, and her previous teaching background makes her a natural in bringing out the best in others. If you have any interest in calligraphy then I’d thoroughly recommend Laura and her workshops and courses. You won’t regret it!

I have just finished Laura's Brush Pen Calligraphy Course (parts 1 & 2) and I cannot recommend the course highly enough. The sheets are very well laid out and the accompanying videos are brilliant. Laura has such a clear and friendly teaching style, and I really loved the content of the course. I now feel much more confident creating cards and gifts for friends and family. The course is such good value for money, and I won't hesitate to sign up for any future calligraphy courses that Laura may offer

Laura is a marvellous teacher - very professional - providing excellent resources and materials, ideas and advice. She engendered a lovely friendly atmosphere while purposeful in sharing her expertise and guiding us through an introduction to modern Brush Calligraphy. I found it therapeutic and the time flew enjoyably while trying to put into practice the skills Laura explained patiently and gave encouragement to all. She gave us a pack to take home to continue practising our newly learned lettering. The workshop space in Emsworth was bright, airy and perfect for the workshop.

Relaxing time learning a new skill - Laura is lovely and is so creative in what she does - easy to “have a go” and really impressed with how I managed some dip ink calligraphy in such a short space of time. Would thoroughly recommend.Went to another class - this time a brush pen class - Laura is a great teacher and explains everything so well - really inspired to be more creative ! X

Thoroughly enjoyed my modern calligraphy Christmas course and looking forward to booking another next year. This was course was local to me in Emsworth. It is top notch! Fun, informative and Laura is lovely, patient and explains things well. Great teacher. Looking forward the next course! If you are hesitating, don't! Book it now!

I thoroughly enjoyed the modern brush pen calligraphy workshop run by Laura. She was a very patient and encouraging teacher and the demonstrations and explanations were really clear. The session was well prepared, nicely set out and the venue at Emsworth Coworking was perfect. It was an extremely pleasurable and relaxing way to spend a morning and I’d highly recommend giving calligraphy with Laura a try.

Laura’s brush calligraphy workshop was just what I had been looking for. Everything was perfect from the location to the time spent in a lovely sized group taught by Laura. The attention to detail, the teaching and the resources were perfect and have certainly started me on my calligraphy journey with a confidence that only a good teacher can provide.
