East Lancashire Cricket Club

Venue is excellent for small parties especially BBQs. But customer service is atrocious - barely got a smile out of her, felt like I was walking on eggshells from the moment I stepped foot in. I got a telling off from one my mates for trying to be overly nice to the landlady (obviously hoping she might reciprocate the manner in which she dealt with us). Maybe right towards the end of the night she mellowed down a little; maybe because we weren't in each others way as much, or maybe she felt we weren't as bad as some previous bad bookings she might have had (I'm guessing), I will never know.I thought I might have just met her on a bad day, but it turned out from feedback from others that had booked the same venue before, that this was normal behaviour. BIg shame as the venue is superb otherwise and despite the attitude of the bookings manager, would still recommend it and would probably still consider it myself as there aren't many venues like it in the area.

The place is nice. I went to a Christening here. The bloke behind the bar could do with brushing up on his customer service skills though. He was grumpy, miserable and quiet rude to be fair. The lady however was lovely.

Our grandaughters christening party was held at this club and everything was really lovely. The space was perfect for our group of 60 adults and kids, but would hold more. It is a really nice venue with outdoor seating too if the weather allows. Bar man Gary was very friendly and super efficient. Whole place was very clean and comfortable with extra safety measures for covid in place. Toilets were spotless. Free parking on site and outdoor space for kids to let off steam.Would highly recommend

I go here regularly to help out with the Blackburn branch of the RBL. The staff of the cricket club itself are lovely, the grounds are always well-maintained. There is also a large range of events hosted by the RBL during off-seasons.Photos from Bonfire Night event 2023.

Nice to see cricket back after a mild winter, warm in the sunshine and enjoyed the game played in a very competitive way to say it was a friendly game, and enjoyed by the players

Went along to the jubilee celebration today. I use a mobility scooter and really struggled. First of all parking was almost impossible, i had to get help to access the entrance as there is no drop kerb to allow scooters off the road onto the pavement ( thank you to the police cadet who helped).my scooter got stuck several times whilst trying to look around the stalls on the grassed area. Iyou claim to have wheelchair friendly access??

Had a party here recently. The bald bartenders was the rudest most hostile man I’ve ever come across. Sold me an out of date packet of crisp. When I brought this to his attention and passed him the pack he literally threw them across the bar.Also created a awful atmosphere for anybody waiting to buy a drinkOther than that awful man the rest was okay. Nice venue and managed to have a good night despite the bartender.

Great function rooms and even has pool table. Janet and her bar staff are lovely and always looking for bookings and eager to help wherever they possibly can.

We celebrated my Sons 21st birthday party here and it was wonderful. A good sized room which was very clean and tidy. The staff were very good and there was plenty of choice of drinks. Highly recommended.
