Blythe Liggins

Extremely disappointing from start to finish. My family had used this firm for over 30 years so we used them for our own most recent property sale and purchase. This place is now very disorganised. We had four different solicitors in the space of a few months, all of which did not have detailed handovers of our file and provided a poor level of service, from terrible communication to rudeness at times. We felt like an inconvenience to them, which is disappointing when you employ a firm for a service and to act in your best interest. Moving and buying property is a stressful time and working with Blythe Liggins made it even more difficult. Myself and my family will be taking our business elsewhere going forward. Choose another firm.

A number of years ago we received exception service from Claire Kirwan in relation to a successful negligence claim. I have recently had course to discuss another matter with her. Again the service, professionalism and more importantly kindness has been second to none. I cannot recommend Blythe Liggins highly enough.

Poor communication, lack of transparency and honesty about the costs they charge. We had a poor experience with them. We had not received updates from the solicitor about what he was doing for us. Also, what they charge is in clear discrepancy with the costs estimate they provide. I will not recommend to use their services.

Overall brilliant service - highly professional, fast, great communication, and very patient with my questions. Always on top of things, working hard to get the sale/purchase moving forward on time. Claire helped me so much with something that happened to me that I felt uncomfortable sharing with anyone and yet she was able to listen to me with compassion and then gave me the opportunity to tell my story and resolve my case successfully. AVOID! I am unsure if Tim is lazy, incompetent, greedy or all of the above. The delay in Tim obtaining information during my house sale caused the sale to collapse, it took him over 6 weeks to get a basic piece of information that I obtained in a few days - I did his job for him, however the long delay caused the buyer to pull out. Funnily enough, as soon as Tim was made aware of the house falling through he was very quick to send me a bill (which I won’t be paying.) however when I tried to contact him during the process it was like it was a massive annoyance to him. If I had to use Tim to sell my house again, I would burn it down instead as it would be a easier process.

My partner and I purchased our first home with Blythe and Liggins.Overall, they were ok, we mostly had to email them quite frequently for updates,But they always came back to us fairly quickly.The biggest stress and disappointment was how they handled the Help To Buy Isa. It seemed like the team had absolutely no experience in dealing with it. I had to do a lot of research of my own to basically educate them, since they were providing advice that was totally incorrect. After lots of back and fourth, in the end it turned out we weren’t eligible for the bonus from the scheme.Had their team been experienced enough to deal with it, all this stress could have been avoided.

Caused utter mayhem with my recent sale by avoiding communication until the last moment! Do yourself a favour and avoid!

Tim was super efficient and speedy. got the sale put through in six weeks. zero stress or delay. communication was top notch and kept the flow of the purchase. highly recommend and hopefully work with again
