My husband and I have both had our guns serviced and fitted (long overdue!) by Tom. We have been very pleased with his service and impressed with his extensive knowledge and skill. In the past we have been using a local “gun shop” but have found J R Roberts, as a “gunsmith” far better for us. Tom has now worked on shotguns and rifles for us and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him. We have also found Paul’s encyclopaedic knowledge of anything shooting related to be second to none.

no good for air riffles took six weeks for a service and new seals then charged me 40% more than quoted £168 incisive of vat. the gun had scratches on it which weren't there before. Very disappointed unfortunately he outsources all his airgun repairs / servicesThe gun would have to be taken apart to repair the scratches, which you do not do.As for the part that you state cost £20 plus vat actually cost £3 including vat from John Knibbs International Ltd so your mark up is 700%Unfortunately something went wrong with the gun so had to be taken apart. It was shocking to see all the damage done to the internal parts, the list is extensive.I had to spend over £130 just in damaged parts + p+pI would not let your outsource worker work on a water pistol never mind an expensive air riffle

I have now brought three guns from this company. Very impressed with how efficient and friendly they were . The after care service and knowledge is outstanding. Would highly recommend. Had one of my old guns serviced and reconditioned its like its brand new . Will be bringing all my guns to them if needed in the future.

Took my Beretta DT10 to Tom the other day to have a couple of nicks" in the wood looked at. Just picked it up and can't believe he has made them disappear! Brilliant workmanship and really really helpful sorting out a few other issues for me.Couldn't recommend highly enough.Thanks Tom!"

Lovely people, you genuinely feel like you're being invited into someone's home, doesn't feel like a shop, such a unique and friendly experience with super helpful and polite staff. Highly recommended.

Tom did an excellent job on my B25; he extended the stock to match dimensions from my gunfitting sessions, re-cut all the checkering, made a great extension piece with an engraved screw to access the stock bolt and re-finished the stock and forend. Excellent work and the gun looks great and will go for another couple of decades again!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Tom who came highly recommended.I had recently bought a gun, and wanted to ensure the best fit possible. Tomwas welcoming and his passion for his job, and his knowledge is obvious .I had a gun fitting and the stock shortened . The work was fantastic and was done very efficiently, and was ready within a few days of dropping into him.He kept me up to date with process and offered advice , which was gratefully received. Very impressive, the service was truly excellent, but nothing compared to Tom's advice on gun fit. I have found a real jem of a gun fitter, with real in-house ability. Very enjoyable experience and learned a lot. A big thank you, and would have no hesitation in recommending, infact I would highly recommend a gun fit with Tom.

Mr Paul Roberts went out of his way to research some of my questions about Rigby's history without hesitation which the current owners possibly couldn't even answer even if they tried. The price charged was...nill. At present just researching one Rigby serial number sets you back about 60£ by the current owners. Mr Roberts spent more than two hours researching my questions in his records. The others he knew by heart.

Incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Can't recommend them highly enough. Two days before a hunting trip my rifle developed a fault. Within two hours Tom had stripped it, identified the fault, repaired it and test fired the rifle. Awesome service.
