Wag & Play Secure Dog Field

It didn't help that it was a very VERY wet day today, but I wasn't super impressed with this field. It's not signposted from the main road or from the short turning just at the very entrance to the field, so you would need sat nav if you don't know the area.The turning is completely overgrown and the brambles/branches scratched my car paint. You need to get out the car and unlock two separate gates to get into the field, which isn't a problem when there's two of you but I imagine would be quite cumbersome on your own and the first gate you really have to lift to stop it dragging too much on the ground. The agility items within the field are a bit rickety and unsafe looking, I didn't trust them with my dogs.Overall, if you are Basingstoke way like us and you are looking for a secure field, Percys Paddock near Winchester is miles away the clear winner for me, especially if you compare the journeys/roads on the way to each of them - it took me twice as long to get there from Basingstoke as it does for Winchester and its roughly the same distance in miles.

So glad a friend recommended this place. So easy to find and perfect space for my old staffie to have his own space for an hour and i felt so at ease knowing he was in a secure area not having to worry about he getting scared by another dogs presence, will defiantly be back!

A huge space to let your dog run and play. Our pup loves this field as such as wide place to explore.

Great facility, with massive secure enclosed area for the dogs to really run about. Selection of agility equipment to use. Have been recommending to friends.

Pros:-Really big field to explore-Lots of parkingCons:-No water supply(difficult to keep you dog cool and hydrated when hot)-No paddling pool or water to play in-Tired equipment-No shelter from rain or sun-long grass (potential for grass seeds in ears and paws)Good to have this space available but needs a bit of love to be perfect

We booked the field for 2 hours on Saturday and I wanted to review it as there had not been many reviews lately. So firstly do not use the postcode - use the what3words OR the google map location on your phone - if you know the area then head to the Christmas Tree farm and instead of turning into their car park the field turning is 500 yards further on.2 gates - first into a large parking area with gravel - so doesn't get too muddy and water logged - although puddle on entrance so you do get wet feet opening that gate - but we have had a lot of rain recently so expected!The second gate does look a little ropey with bits added to make it secure but once you are in - it doesn't matter.Field is not as large as I was expecting - however perfectly big enough for dogs to run around3 large secure poo bins around - which is great - shame the people before us didn't use them! so we picked up a couple of poops so our dogs didn't run in it!There is a good secure fence all around, and a ditch area with water - much fun was had here!So no shelter or water - but a bowl of water was there - which we filled up with our own water. a bench to sit on and a few pieces of agility kit - plus we spent the whole time walking so didn't need shelterOur dogs had a wonderful time and the 2 hours flew by! we had sunshine and the field itself was not a muddy mess at all and considering the recent rain that was great!A bonus being able to have more then 4 dogs though - which was the key thing for us - plus the size you want more space when you have lots of large dogs!We shall certainly be back as the puppies were safe to run and be free and play - thank you very much!

Been here twice now and got to say it's fantastic. We have a very energetic Pomsky who does not do well off the lead! We brought him here and we can let him have complete freedom of the field knowing it is completely secure. The fencing all looks fairly new, and there are combinations of wire/mesh fencing to ensure that even the smallest or biggest dogs can't escape!It appears as though it is regularly maintained as it was freshly mowed on our second visit, and the majority of the toys and equipment provided look in great condition.We will be regulars from now!

We love visiting this secure field! There is loads of room to run around and agility equipment to use. Would definitely recommend a visit!

What an amazing place. We have two dogs that can't go off lead due to huge pray drive and tonight, they had a blast. Totally knackered and we felt so safe in the field and did some work. They even managed a little agility which was amazing. Highly recommended if you want your pooches to run free for a change.

A fabulous place, I can let me escapee dog off the lead without worrying about her disappearing. I love being able to give her the chance to really stretch her legs!
