My time living Super Uni accommodation in Winchester has been great! My flat is excellent, a lot nicer than other student properties in the area. The few problems we have encountered, and they were minor, have all been sorted incredibly quickly by kind and helpful members of staff. So couldn’t ask for more in that respect it’s been brilliant. I have lived in my current flat and have loved it so much that I am continuing my tenancy with Super Uni next year. I’m excited for the year to come in this property!

The flats are cozy, the location is good, and you won't find a better price than the one they offer for the first year.Unfortunately, the construction materials are cheap, especially the walls between the bedrooms, which are in plasterboard, and therefore do not provide any form of acoustic insulation. If your flat is on the ground floor, you will hear the front door slamming at all hours. The neighbours can be very noisy, and their stench of weed can enter at night through the windows. Complaining to them may work for one day. Reporting to the administrator is a waste of time. However, the real downside is the customer service. Apart from being immorally inflexible about rent reductions due to a once-in-a-century pandemic, they even had the nerve to charge us £60 for a barely noticeable stain under a mattress that we have never turned or used in the last year (always because the world situation prevented us from returning to the flat). Furthermore, after almost three months since our tenancy ended, we are still fighting to get our deposits back. We have been soliciting a reply from two managers for about two weeks, and just today we received an automatic reply saying that they no longer work at the company. It is totally unacceptable for a business to operate in this way. I feel robbed and harassed. They must either radically renew themselves or close down for the good of all (including them). I invite anyone in the same situation as me to give an honest review, to help curb the scandalous exploitation that this business does to us students. To SuperUni Housing: please refrain from writing a cold and inconclusive reply. Examine your conscience instead.

I was a tenant in Treasury Court, Winchester for two years and my overall experience (of the both the property and the company) was positive. The build quality of the property was not great, but this wasn't a Superuni build so they can't be blamed for that. The location more than made up for this, and there is nowhere else I would have rather stayed despite the nightmarish parking situation (would not recommend keeping a car here unless you want to pay £2k for a season pass at the multi story). We encountered some issues during our first year, including complete boiler failure, but Superuni resolved all of these issues in a fairly acceptable timeframe. There were times that we felt communication could have been better, but there was a massive improvement with communication and issue response times as we started our second tenancy, which was managed by Andrew - he took excellent care of us. The most recent maintenance issues were resolved very quickly indeed. I would rate our first year 3/5, but our second year was much better (5/5) and I would have no trouble recommending Superuni (in its current form) to others.

My experience with SuperUni is generally positive. The flat is quite small with thin walls but functional. All the necessary equipment was provided. At the time of our tenancy, the rent was fair and well reflected the overall quality of the flat. The staff is kind and helpful. No troubles with deposit. On the other hand, location is mediocre – 15 minutes on foot to campus and 30 minutes to Portswood (buses run rarely, so having a bike is a good idea). The one thing that could have been done better, is the pandemic response (the flat has been empty for roughly half a year) – at first, there wasn’t goodwill on the part of SuperUni but later its policy has been slightly better adjusted.

I have rented a property with six others through Super Uni this year and can't really complain. We moved in to a very clean house with everything as advertised. Although we've had quite a few problems with plumbing and heating, they've all been fixed really quickly. The only thing I'd say is that there are very blurred lines as to what they class as an 'emergency'. We were reluctant to ring the emergency number over a weekend when both our toilets broke as they said we would be charged if they didn't deem it as an emergency, and when the maintenance worker arrived he was quite rude and evidently annoyed at being called out. However the office was adamant we should have rang sooner. Short of using a neighbour's toilet not quite sure what we could have done? Got fixed though, so all good maybe he was just having a bad day.Overall, our property is of a good standard and is regularly checked, and any issues we've had have been sorted really quick. Admin stuff all went through really smoothly too.

Super Uni has been great adjusting to life after the pandemic simply because to them the pandemic never happened! They entirely ignored the fact that 3 of us were paying full rent including bills for a place we hadn’t been able to entered for 7 months and said it’s all fine because they were struggling too. They were also great at keeping our deposit protected! They were so good at keeping it safe they didn’t want to give it back! They may have tried to charge us over £300 due to their mistakes of saying they didn’t receive our keys and ignored the cleaning plan we payed for but they said they removed those charges out the goodness of their own heart...In all fairness, they were late with return of our deposit and this could have been because they didn’t see our emails! The limited times they were replying to our emails it was at 4:45pm which is very close to when they close. They also did not refund the correct amount of money but to be honest I think this was because they just wanted to give it too us later as a nice surprise not an attempt at theft. I’m sure all of this was not a tactic to ignore us or an attempt to block us getting our money or to take some for themselves, but instead they were just so busy because they clearly care so much about their tenants!!I really hope the company of super uni gets exactly the recognition and reputation they deserve!EDIT: I have read the comment the owner left on this review and since i can not reply my message in reply is here and is simply ‘cool point babes still tried to take extra money from the deposit tho didnt ya you rascal xoxoxox’

They have had absolutely no regard about the situation of the pandemic. They haven’t offered either me nor any of my flatmates any discount on our rent even though NONE of us have resided at our Flat in Southampton since the end of 2020, as we’ve been forced, by the circumstances, to remain in our home countries. They weren’t even willing to consider taking away from our monthly rent payment the bills which we are (obviously) not using. This is a terrible disservice not only to us but to the student community as I’m sure we are not the only ones in this situation. Also, be careful, if you really want to rent from them, make sure to insert a break clause in the contract, otherwise you’ll be in our same situation. They won’t let us leave the contract unless we find a replacement. I’m not even a student anymore (I abandoned my studies at the University of Southampton because of the pandemic) and they still don’t want to cancel my contract. All of a sudden, non-students can reside in student accommodations. It’s a nightmare, I just wish I never signed up with them. We will have to look for a lawyer now to resolve this matter. I’m giving 1 star as I cannot give 0.

I have rented through superuni for the last 2 years of my degree. The flat that I rent, along with others, was clean, fully furnished with all new equipment and fit for purpose.I have found that any issues we’ve had have been dealt with very quickly by friendly staff. They even helped us find a new flat mate when we needed one. They’ve definitely made my time at university a lot easier.

Myself and my 4 other flatmates had a great year at Columbia Lodge in Southampton (2017/8). The flat itself was perfect for us with a decent-sized kitchen and we loved having this communal area for watching Netflix on the TV together on an evening! The chalkboard in the hallway was great fun, too. The bedrooms were a good size with very comfortable beds. When we had any maintenance issues (namely the washing machine), the response from SuperUni was prompt and the maintenance team dealt with the majority of the issues swiftly and were very understanding when anything was faulty. All our emails were replied to very quickly and we found Carmen and Charlotte helpful and attentive. The reason for the 4 stars is the state of the flat upon moving in (there was a blockage in the shower and the kitchen didn't appear to have been cleaned professionally). However, we were assured that the contract cleaners SuperUni had employed would not be used again. After spending at least 5 hours deep cleaning the flat at the end of our tenancy, we are pleased to have all received our deposits back in full! (They were sent to our own accounts so we didn’t need to worry about money transfers).Overall, we had a really good experience with SuperUni and wouldn’t hesitate to rent from them again in the future. Thank you.

I would without a doubt recommend Superuni to any student, who is looking for a place to live whilst at uni! The staff within Superuni are friendly, helpful, welcoming and on call for any issues or concerns we may have. From the moment we signed the documents to move into one of their homes, all the staff have been outstanding, and we were quick to sign up to live in the same house for another year, as we head into the 2018/19 academic year.
