Gnome and Away

Wonderful local shop. Glorious selection of wine and beer and the staff are an absolute treat.Well worth a visit.

Sunday dinner was awful nowhere near as good when artichoke I will ring proprietor in morning an tell him my dog enjoyed it though x

Lovely indy wine/beer shop from the people who run Artichoke next door.

This place supposedly offers a bag storage facility through Radical Storage for people wanting to leave bags in Chester as left luggage (as there has not been any left luggage facility at the station for years). I booked and prepaid this, got to Gnome and Away and it was all locked up and closed, as was the Artichoke next door. So the one star is not for the shop (which may be wonderful, but was shut) but for offering facilities which they don't fulfil and for causing inconvenience

Great little shop. I’ve only been here for beer so far but they’ve got some brilliant local options and the staff are very friendly. I’ll be back to try the wine and other bits!
