A lovely time spent @cannycraftynorthumberland. Sarah was so helpful and chatty, made us feel extremely welcomed and comfortable. She told us what our options were for the baby prints and was great at getting the prints on our chosen pieces. Thank you! We will be back!

I went to Canny Crafty recently with a friend and our toddlers to do some personalised Christmas baubles. Booking was quick and easy and when we arrived we felt very comfortable with the level of COVID-19 precautions in place (spaced out tables, full staff PPE during printing, masks when moving around the shop, PPE screen at the till). They have a varied and reasonably priced selection of pottery to choose from and we both ended up adding some mugs to our order. We didn’t stay for our full booking slot as the lady doing our prints was very practiced and speedy (ideal as my son isn’t fond of sitting still for too long...) but if you were unsure what you wanted to do/buy you would have more than enough time to um and ah before actually getting prints done.

We had the most lovely time. Staff could not have been more helpful with our baby print and my little boy painting his own project. It was great fun and we’d love to do it again.

Nice place to paint some pottery in a calm atmosphere. Only criticism is that the brushes aren't the best quality so if you're not talented, it holds your own limited skills back somewhat. Also no complimentary drinks available on the premises which is a shame as it doesn't cost much to serve a cup of tea or coffee.

Visited for a birthday- staff were rude our entire visit, very unhelpful, rushing us towards the end of our slot even though we were nearly done and there was only one other table occupied. The customer service was appalling, when we said we hadn’t done pottery painting before one of ladies working sighed and begrudgingly showed us what to do. We were not offered any refreshments our entire visit, or given any explanation as to why there were no refreshments. When we went to pay the staff were on their phones and we stood there for a good 2 minutes whilst they finished texting before serving us. Had the same experience when we went to pick up the pottery- staff were rude and unpleasant, looking us up and down and laughing. As for the pottery, it was chipped when we picked it up, so certainly wasn’t stored very well or taken good care of which was extremely disappointing considering the price. Won’t be returning- a real shame as have heard positive things, but the whole experience was very negative and not worth the money in the slightest. I have worked in hospitality myself for over 4 years and know it is not difficult to make an experience right for a customer- especially when they are paying so much money, which is what made this visit particularly disappointing.

Really enjoyed this! Me and my partner both painted mugs. Service was good and we enjoyed the music in the background while we painted. Some of the paint brushes were quite frayed and hard to paint with, perhaps need some new ones. We were given 1hr and 30 mins to paint, which goes much faster than expected and we were really rushing towards the end.

It is a nice idea and the price for the painting is reasonable, however it loses a star (that is being generous really) for the following reasons:1) The brushes could do with being replaced, they are knackered2) When we arrived we were told to help ourselves to drinks at the front from the machine then at the end charged for the drinks and I don't think that is right, if you are told help yourself that says it is free and not to mention it was horrible so I didn't even drink much of it!3) Our items were not bubble wrapped and could have easily been damaged smacking together. I didn't think that leaves a very good impression of the business at all.

A fantastic day out and the perfect place for a romantic day date. Suitable for adults and children. Pottery pieces are really reasonably priced and there is a varied choice of paints and brushes. Refreshments were limited and it was a little chilly in there but not enough to dampen the experience. A perfect amount of instruction and privacy from the host and lovely atmosphere with music. 1.5 hours goes quickly!! We had a blast thank you
