Came for a seafood feast and left slightly traumatised and extremely unsatisfied. The raw Oyster came and went. It was extremely fresh and tasty. Drinks were pretty and yummy.Came next: Grilled seafood platter looks delicious.Digging in to find that the mullet taste really muddy. While it's my first time tasting mullet, i have eaten many bottom feeders. Some had taste I can't appreciate but I know it's me. This mullet though, I think it just bad preparation. Though the service staff says that's how it is supposed to taste. We didn't want to create a fuss and Maybe it's us. So we just left all the pieces of mullet behind. Which unfortunately is a big part of the dish.Mussels w garlic in pot. This was traumatising. The mussels tasted like sewage. I'm not the only one that think so. I wanted to throw up. Told that to the server, she doubted us until we said she should try it herself. I have eaten soooooo much mussels. One cannot tell me that's how it is supposed to taste. The service staff took the mussels out of our bill and also the bread basket in good will. Something we appreciate but do feel the response could be better. Cuttlefish has always been our go to place for yummy seafood but this trip have left such a bad taste in my mouth(literally too). This is us spending more than £100. It is very disappointing. I do not think I will go again.

Black squid ink spaghetti with mixedseafood is amazing! Loaded with various pump fresh-looking goodies. The sauce is tomatoey, gently garlicky, with a warm hint of spiciness, and perfectly coats the pasta. Lights up my day in the rainy weather. (Thanks for providing the spoon. I literally emptied my bowl with it. ❤️) One of the best-tasting pastas I’ve had in the UK so far. (Of course many handmade ones are lovely but this sauce is phenomenal.)Oysters are fresh and burst with the flavor of sea.Very warm and friendly service— carryingthe heavy blackboard of “today’s special” to my table!! The dishes came so fast that I didn’t even have the chance to open my book. The comfort food menu! Probably one of the few reasons for me to want to move to Oxford (from Cambridge). Brunch menu also looks nice. I was attracted by the Oxford Blue cheese but I have decided what to order for lunch. Maybe next time. And the caviars! Next time next time. It’s definitely worth hopping on the bus from city center and taking a stroll back.

Four of us came for lunch on a slow Tuesday. It was a first time visit for all of us. We had a bit of expectation before arrival due to recommendations from others. While none of the dishes would be described as awful, there was nothing to remind us to come again soon. Somehow all the dishes looked better than they tasted. Our waitress was enthusiastic and helpful, but that wasn’t enough to keep us coming back.

Good, well-sourced ingredients: but our cook (described by two separate members of staff as 'picky' and 'fussy' respectively) is clearly not an asset. Meals were average at best, and below average for the money. I paid £17 for nothing but three mouthfuls of trout and some incredibly stale chips. One of my friends, who had the misfortune to have special dietary needs, ended up spending over a tenner on a few slices of burnt aubergine. Would have enjoyed salmon and frozen chips from Tesco far more, quite frankly.

Had a lovely lunch on a Saturday away from all the crowds. The shared fish platter was amazing, fish cooked to perfection. Staff lovely. Can’t wait to return on our next trip to Oxford area

Such a lovely dine in experience! Extremely good food that is reasonably priced especially considering the generously portion size. Even better hospitality/ service, Yola was extremely welcoming and attentive. Thank you for the birthday treat!!

Very nice place with a Mediterranean vibe if you are into fish. Their portions are hearty and I can highly recommend their fish soup and fritto misto. It’s perfect for both a date night or a night out with friends.

Don’t be put off by occasional negative reviews. Satisfied customers don’t usually consider reviewing. Three of us had a delicious well cooked hot evening meal this week. Staff are efficient friendly and professional. Table spacing is good so you can talk and hear your friends. Thank you.
