Waited for 4 hours which is standard. My wife has heavy bleeding for two days. They refused to give a scan to see if there was a miscarriage. Cruelly, the soonest they could offer a scan 4 days later (even tho there people there that could’ve given us a scan right then)The doctor just kind of shrugged his shoulders. The level of treatment at this place is shocking. I feel sorry for every patient there.

Been coming here with my girlfriend for baby scans, the two ladies Amina and Donna have been great both times that we have visited. The hospital has always been very clean and it is always good to have a look at the little woolens baby shop, the shop is stocked with items that have been sewn together by volunteers and all of the money raised goes towards the neonatal unit.

Nice big hospital, staff amazing as always, heard rumours that they want to shut it down and move it into the new Liverpool hospital, that'd be a shame, it seems to be in good shape as per pictures, have to wait and see

Amazing service. I gave birth to my first baby boy here 2 weeks ago. Every single person was amazing the care was better than private care. Olivia from delivery suite helped me get through my labour and I had the most beautiful experience that I will cherish forever. I had two midwives throughout Amy a student nurse who was so caring and helpful. I was moved to mat base and I was given support all night which set me up for breast feeding. Thank you again, so lucky to have a great hospital with amazing people.

My husband and I had such fantastic care at Liverpool Women’s fetal medicine unit at a very scary time in our pregnancy. We immediately felt reassured on meeting the team and their communication was so clear throughout. We really felt listened to and were given the time we needed to understand the information we were being given. I am so pleased our local centre referred us for the expert review.

Midwife was lovely and day team were kind pre birth. They switched staff half way through and they were unfriendly. Took over 12 hours for epidural. Doctor kept leaving half way through each application. Tried to refuse me one despite me asking as soon as I arrived. Doctor just started talking to the midwife about how he was about to cut me open to help take the baby out without even speaking to me. And when I question this he said ‘I did say ‘ with an attitude and then just did it. There was no conversation of these are your options it was just done. After I gave birth I was expected to walk/ shower immediately despite losing a worrying amount of blood. Doctor and midwife were arguing about who got to deliver the baby. No one cleared this blood either I was expected to walk through it as was my partner. Was rushed out of the delivery room by a young girl who looked at me like I was something stuck to her shoe. Thrown on to ward with 6 women, no lactation consultation or help. Had a woman next to me on FaceTime to her partner at 3AM while her baby screamed and she ignored it. Staff did nothing as patient didn’t speak English so had no sleep after over 24 hrs in labour. Wouldn’t let my family in to visit child but let people bring their children in for visits on the ward. Had curtains flung open while breastfeeding and told to wake up at 6am after all of this too. Then wasn't discharged for days because they discriminated against me for being a care leaver and wouldn’t let me leave despite there being no concerns with me as a person on file etc literally just discriminated against me because of my parents failures. Everyone else was discharged even people brought in the day after me. Then then said ‘ we didn’t have the time to call and check’ when that’s not procedure. they didn’t need to call and check anything because I’m not a criminal despite being treat like one for things beyond my control. I would genuinely rather travel miles in labour than go through this again. Staff should be ashamed of themselves it was extremely traumatic. GO ANYWHERE ELSE .

Had my middle child here 3 years ago and the experience wasn't brilliant. Three weeks ago I had my youngest here, brilliant experience, had an emergency c section were the staff were extremely calming and reassuring, I had a high risk pregnancy and the womens was amazing with frequent appointments to the premature labour unit and foetal medicine to ensure things were ok and frequent growth scans. After having my baby a few weeks ago one thing I noticed and pointed out to my partner is every single member of staff we saw was lovely and went out their way to be helpful, everyone was smiling. We had an unfortunate experience where the breastfeeding lady refused to help me as I'm from Knowsley not Liverpool and a midwife swooped in and sat and helped me for a while.Brilliant experience, brilliant staff, I'm extremely grateful.
