Choosing Tony and his team as our designers was critical to the success of the Beechfield project and we remain delighted clients. The house is spectacular. We had commissioned another architect prior to Tony, who threw planning and design blockers in the way of what we were seeking to achieve whereas Tony’s approach was to design our dream home and then manage the planning, which went through without a hitch. Tony was able to immediately visualise how we could take advantage of the south facing opportunity enabling us to enjoy solar gain in the winter and shade in the summer which has been a huge energy saving bonus. He was sensitive to our budget and adjusted the initial design to ensure that we never felt that we were compromising. We’ve been living in the house now for three years and there is nothing that we have, in retrospect, wish we had done differently. We love it and engaging with Tony was the key to this outcome

I have worked with Tony and his team throughout 2022. I have been very impressed with their approach and together we have submitted and received approval for our new house. Tony has offered plenty of advise and understood what we were after from our new home. The design itself is modern yet sympathetic to the village environment and local environment. We engaged with the team back in 2016 to remodel and enlarge the 1940's house we had just purchased. Tony and Chris visited the property and after a few weeks came back to us with an amazing design. Apart from a small number of tweaks the first draft is what we ended up with. They understood our brief perfectly and we are complimented by everybody that visits the house on how incredible it is.

We changed course with Tony Holt Design, and, oh boy, was that a good move!When we approached Tony and his team, we already had some ideas/drawings from our initial architech but this was augmented by new suggestions which proved way better than we could have expected.Although we absolutely loved the new proposals, we were deeply sceptical about it being approved by the planning department as we’re next to a listed building and in the green belt.Chris was outstanding with managing this side of things - very effective communication with the planning department and we were granted planning permission with no issues - we didn’t need to change a thing - quite unbelievable!This is the biggest project and financial commitment we will make for a long time and we needed someone straightforward who we could trust. Some years ago, we were struggling to obtain planning permission for a new build project in Charlton Marshall, Dorset and were advised by the planning authorities to find an innovative, creative architect.A friend recommended Tony Holt to us and this proved to be a huge success.Tony worked brilliantly with the planning authorities, designing the well known, stunning Dairy Farm Lodge" property.During the whole process we found Tony very easy to work with and planning permission was obtained at the first attempt.The build process went very smoothly

Chris and the team at Tony Holt Design are doing a wonderful job for the complete rebuild of our family home following a house fire.Our project is very big and complicated,we had a good idea of what we wanted to achieve with our house but they consider our needs very carefully, present us with several innovative and unique options which we never would have thought of, they generate great options and work with us back and forth to finalise designs.They submitted the full planning application and liaised with the Council which led the planning application process to a successful conclusion in a timely and stress free manner.They work very efficiently with the numerous other 3rd party contractors involved and are always on hand to answer our questions when required.They keep us fully informed and guide us through each stage of this process, making it as stress free and smooth as possible for us.We have no hesitation in recommending them.

Met Tony and Chris at Grand Designs London about 5 years ago, we had just purchased our 2 acre plot in Dorset on the top of a hill with 360 degree views.Planning was a long 2 1/2 year fight with countless plans, meetings, emails and phone calls.We started our build in May 2018 and hope to move in before Christmas next year 2019.The house over 400sqm, upside down has large open plan areas with over 90 sq m of balcony's facing south just as we asked for.I am project managing this complicated build myself, I have no previous building experience so I do need help, lots of it !Tony Holt Designs have designed exactly what was asked for, within our budget and have managed this project through planning and construction design to date.They spent months working on construction drawings and designing out expensive problems with the cantilevers and large glass openings. We have 5 sets of Italian triple glazed lift and slide doors on the upper floor each weighing over 700 kg so lots of steel.I have called them hundreds of times over the last year or so and always talk with Tony or Chris, any problems I have are dealt with straight away, plans or detail queries are emailed as we speak.They have helped us with design consultants, materials and suppliersand are now designing our ceilings ready for our lighting scheme.They will site visit just to see if things are OK and if I need any help.In short, I could not have got to this stage with out Tony Holt Design and both Tony and Chris have become good friends of ours.For the service we have had and are still getting they are worth far more than I have paid.If I was to self build again I would not hesitate to use Tony and Chris, you would be hard pushed to get a better service.Gary & Susan Hughes

We purchased a 1970's property in early 2019 and approached Tony Holt design with reference a renovation but we soon decided on a complete new rebuild.Despite us being in the North of England hundreds of miles from Tony Holt design they have been on hand and very proactive with the design of the build. As well as listening to our dreams they have had input from a professional point of view.Once we received the final designs we fell in love.
