I love chinese food. I remember coming here 20 years ago when the restaurant was known for its bad service.Today's food really was bad. I left it all and paid the bill and walled out. I feel yuk inside.The crispy noodles were badThe rice was fine bit nothing specialThe crispy Duck was yuk. You couldn't actually eat any of the crispy bits because they were top hardThe plum sauce had some weird aniseed flavour in it.The aubergine dish was bad.Oh and eating on plastic.plates!. Wasn't a good experience.I won't be returning.

So so so great food! We usually don’t eat Chinese food when traveling since we live in Taiwan. But my husband took me here because he had Chinese food for the first time here many many years back. All the dishes that we ordered were all very tasty and packed with flavor. We really loved their Singaporean fried rice noodles that we dined here twice while we were in London! Great portion and reasonable price which was a big bonus. People complained that staffs are rude but it’s actually part of their trademark. It’d be odd if they’re being polite! They only take cash payments so prepare ahead but you won’t be disappointed with the food.

we ordered the hot & sour soup, special fried rice, sweet & sour pork, pork slice in chili (something…) sauce. came in from the airport so we were very hungry and so happy that the food was on point! service was to the point and the food came out within 10 minutes i kid you not. like they knew we were starving haha. so everything was great. don’t forget to add their superb chili oil to spice up ur taste buds. would definitely come back!

It’s authentic Cantonese food spot, the stirred fried beef noodles is one of the best I’ve had in years, so nice and strong flavor of wok stirred fried scent. Enjoyed the crispy pork belly also. I took down 2 stars, as they become very rude to me when they realized that I didn’t have cash. As a hungry traveler just arrived in the UK, I was focused on looking for the food that I wanted to eat; honestly I didn’t see cash only, neither any of the servers told me about it. And I can’t believe that after the covid, there’s a restaurant that doesn’t offer credit card service and got mad at their customer that visited from far. It left a bad taste on the experience.

Again, not my first time here but definitely the first in 5 years. Seems like they renovated and the red carpeted floor is gone. Bustling as ever and authentic Chinese food at an affordable price. No cards accepted. Make sure you have cash with you and be prepared to Q.

I have been a loyal customer at this establishment for more than 25 years. While the food, particularly the duck noodle soup, is delightful and highly recommended, the customer service leaves much to be desired. Unfortunately, rudeness and poor service have been ongoing issues, despite the recent addition of a seemingly friendlier manager. Although there have been slight improvements, the overall customer service experience has not seen significant progress. Nonetheless, the delicious food continues to bring me and my family back time and again.

If I can give less then zero, than I will not hesitate to do that… The service guy was so rude and unpathetic experience…I got pork with steam riceSpring rollChicken noodle soupPork was frozen, then they microwave it and served with cold riceSpring roll - u can find any Tesco or lung fung frozen packetChicken noodle soup- chicken was smelly, the stock is good… but because of chicken, it makes the worst soup even I had in my life…On top of that, guy wearing sunglasses,, was rude, telling us, we give this service in central London…I was enjoying whole day to have my last meal, but made my experience pathetic with my friends…!! The worst food, I had in my life..!!!

Wong Kei, I have been going here since over 18 years now. It certainly has mellowed down from the “ rude” label.The food is the same, good portions, quick bite if in town and you need something filling and substantial. The roast pork and duck hot rice was good. Not much roast pork on the plate, but the duck was really good, it suprised me. For the section it caters for it’s a 4 star, for my overall liking it’s a 3 star.The prices are great and what you would expect. No gimmicks, tea was Luke warm, which wasn’t a great thing. Cleanliness great and staff, what one would expect. They do their job.But would I go here again? Most likely yes, to satisfy my hunger.

Have been visited this place often in the past particularly for the excellent duck noodle soup as it's tasty and cheap but it was not the same taste as those in our memories.The service was fast and the staff weren't yelling or anything. They're famous for their wonky rudeness but I see they improve a little bit.Cash only.
